While the school year is done for our S-Club of Tahlequah High gals, their littles had a goal and didn't want to stop until it was done!

All spring, the 7-8th girls from our Big/Little program have been working on t-shirt rugs for the shelter. They didn't have them done by the time school was out, so they kicked off summer break finishing them up. They delivered them to the City of Tahlequah - Municipal Government animal shelter team last week and received lots of slobbers & snuggles as a wonderful reward. 🏆

Thank you to program lead and Soroptimist member, Priscilla Valdez for elevating our Dream It, Be It Big/Little Program! We are so grateful, and... the pups are too!

War Eagle Resort has our heart. 🫶

Why? Because sometimes the best moments happen when we simply slow down and spend time together in nature. 💙

This week, our Soroptimist sisters enjoyed a peaceful float along the river at War Eagle... a beautiful reminder of the joy found in nature, friendship, and connection. The calm water, fresh air, and laughter made for a wonderful evening of sisterhood.

After our float, we gathered at Roxie's BBQ for great food, fellowship, and a little celebration. We welcomed our incoming 2026–2027 officers with some well-deserved recognition and a few “sweet” treats to match their sweet commitment to serving our club and community. 🍫✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an evening filled with connection, encouragement, and fun. Here’s to another year of friendship, service, and making a difference together! YOU should join us!

What a wonderful and impactful spring season for Soroptimist International of Tahlequah! 💙✨

Over the past few months, we’ve celebrated service, leadership, scholarship, and community support in so many meaningful ways.

🌟 We recognized Priscilla as our April Trophy Member and Nocona as our March Trophy Member for their dedication, leadership, and heart for our club.

🐣 Our incredible S-Club of Tahlequah High girls hosted a successful “Egg My Yard” fundraiser and gave back by raising funds for their furry friends at the Humane Society of Cherokee County.

🎓 We celebrated SIX outstanding S-Club seniors at the Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce Honor Grad Luncheon and delivered scholarships to graduating seniors as they prepare for their next chapter.

💜 We proudly celebrated our Live Your Dream regional scholarship recipient and the amazing accomplishments of women pursuing brighter futures through education.

🍔 We partnered with our S-Club girls to serve at meal at Feed My Sheep Tahlequah. In addition, many of our members cooked the meal, several brought delicious dessets, and we donated a check to ensure the continued success of the program.

🩷 We also continued our work through Project Red Box, helping provide access to essential hygiene products for girls and women in our community.

🤝 As part of our commitment to community impact, we delivered the remainder of our 2025–2026 support funds to several area nonprofits, helping further missions that make a difference right here at home.

📈 And finally, our club approved the 2026–2027 budget with exciting goals to grow our impact and give back to our community in even bigger ways in the year ahead.

We are so excited to celebrate one of our Live Your Dream Award recipients, Maritza, a nursing student at Indian Capital Technology Center. 💜✨

Each year, our local 1st place winner advances to regional competition through the Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards program. This year, our recipient placed at the regional level! 🎉

This week, we had the honor of delivering her regional award and celebrating her continued success. The Live Your Dream Award supports women who are working hard to improve their lives through education and training while overcoming obstacles along the way.

We are incredibly proud of her determination, resilience, and dedication to building a brighter future. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! We can’t wait to see all that’s ahead for you! 💫

What an inspiring May meeting for Soroptimist International of Tahlequah - a wonderful club who recently celebrated 75 years as a chapter in Tahlequah! 💙✨

This month, we were honored to hear from two incredible organizations making a meaningful impact in our community.

🎓 We welcomed Tahlequah Adult Education, one of our newly featured scholarship partners for 2026–2027. Through their GED program, adults are given the opportunity to continue their education and pursue new possibilities for their future. We are proud that our scholarships will help cover the cost of GED testing fees, helping remove financial barriers for those working toward this important milestone.

🎶 We also heard from Mosaic Foundation, whose mission beautifully reminds us of the power of the arts to unite and inspire communities.

🏆 In addition, we celebrated one of our favorite traditions... our Trophy Member recognition! Former Trophy Member Priscilla proudly passed the honor to Nocona in recognition of her incredible efforts to make everyone feel included, her endless creativity (and energy!), and the joyful experiences she creates for our members. Thank you, Nocona, for the heart and energy you bring to our club! 💐

💰Following the meeting, two of our members delivered the final 2025–2026 financial support check to Lake Area United Way Oklahoma. We are proud to support their mission of uniting people and resources to strengthen our community and improve lives across the region.

We continue to be inspired by the partnerships, service, and fellowship that strengthen our mission and our community each month.
