Handymen for Humanity

Handymen for Humanity Introduction
O-si-yo, I am Travis Wyman from Tahlequah Okla., heart of the great Cherokee Nation. People that are most affected by p.e.c.

My love for our mother earth, and fellow humanity has moved me to start this Humanitarian Aid Project. Handymen for Humanity, (H.f.H), is a humanitarian aid project, (h.a.p.), designed to relieve people of the physical or economic crunch, (p.e.c.) that deters them from being able to have maintenance performed in order to sustain their home, land, property, and sometimes even their very lives. All

are welcome to its projects in order to unite, for this is a project in love with Humanity. are generally our elders; in whom cannot, (but respectfully would if they were able), perform necessary maintenance. Most are only on SSI, or a small retirement wage, etc., and the economic crunch eats up all their income. Although, our elders are just a portion of what makes up our community. All have been affected by the latest economic crunch, and a lot of communities still see major effects from our past ice storms. Therefore our trees, land, and homes have declined drastically in our communities. Most importantly the lives of these, and many other types of individuals, can be positively affected by (H.f.H), and in some cases, we are their last hope. THE LOOMING CRISIS

Webster’s New World Dictionary defines loom as, “to come into sight indistinctly, threateningly.” We do face such a crisis. All around, we see dangerous hanging limbs; some directly over porches, children’s play sets, homes, offices, our streets and roads, etc. These limbs, and in some instances whole trees, teeter in the wind only hanging on by a thread. If we do not act now on our trees, we will lose property, and inevitably and most importantly, lives. Trees are not the only area in which these people are affected. I have helped a few different people since I started this project, all in need of this aid. All varied in their needs, but all shared a common issue; they all are under this p.e.c. I was literally one lady’s last hope, and she was in dire need. Photos of such looming terror will be available in order to “put a face to the name”, so to speak. I am wondering if there would be any government grants available for such humanitarian aid projects; possibly donations from churches, Rotary clubs, Masonic lodges, FEMA, Cherokee Nation, or any other source that would like to help with this project in love. I am also in need of an individual who could help me with the grant writing, and ideas are always welcome. My next idea with H.f.H is called Handymen for Children (H.f.C). This project will be geared towards teaching our children before society does. We will visit local schools, hold community projects, etc. in order to teach the children that we must be good honest hard working people that love our community, and love humanity. I have only recently put thought to this idea, so I do not have much on it yet, but it will be powerful as well! I am moved by the Spirit to use my hands and heart to help these desperately needy individuals. Whether I get funding or not for assistance with this, I will work daily for our God in order to save humanity!! This is the best way I could come up with to do such a remarkable thing. Today Handymen for Humanity served with might; unquestionable love bestowed. The touch of the heart lasts lifetimes. Osda GADUGI!

Raining down blessings upon this little family today, in whom had an income loss due to COVID-19, and whom does volunteer work for homeless shelters. Karma came back around to them, in the form of Handymen for Humanity, removing their dangerous tree that kept snapping branches, falling on their vehicle, and of course worried about the safety of their little toddler who plays in that front yard, as well as mommy and daddy, etc. Was dangerous for their home, and nearby power lines. My son and I had it dismantled, to the ground safe n sound, in about two hours.
I am grateful for my health, my abilities, my awesome son, and my heart n soul. I am grateful for this family’s safety. May they continue to be blessed! May we all be blessed, and be a blessing!

Believe in the beauty and strength our your own being. Forget the foolish belief that you and your fellow human beings were born evil. Those who would control you all the days of your life on earth perpetuate the belief iihtsipaitapiiyo?pa (Source of Life) made things to have a bad spirit.

Live a life of truth and honesty. This makes you a person of quality and dignity. Truth and honesty are the kind of leadership qualities that attracts others.

Give honor and respect to others regardless of age and situation in life. This quality makes you and others worthy of honor and respect, which makes others, feel worthwhile and fulfilled. Honor and respect empowers others so they can win the day. They will return it to you fourfold.

Honor the earth and all that exists. Be strong in this belief and practice it throughout your life because it makes for a world of kindness that binds all the good things of life together in a circle of harmony.

Be humble but not timid. To be humble is to connect yourself to the stars and the entire universe and makes you aware there is something unique about life that is to be enjoyed without fear. We are people from the stars and because of it we are sacred.

Help others realize that life is a dream . . . . A beautiful dream. Dreamers are the butterflies of life and help others to realize their dreams.

Be humorous and help others to enjoy life and the life of others. Humor makes you attractive. The humorous person has many guests and the one who is invited everywhere because of the joy they bring to the gathering.

Never be afraid to talk matters over with those you disagree with or those you love. The gift of language is a miracle and it is meant to be used to live a life of harmony, joy, love, and respect. Use it well and use it often.

What is described here is leadership and happiness in the broadest sense. These are the qualities that make for a great father, grandmother, mother, teacher, grandfather, lover, traditional leader, friend and a great human being. Best of all you can add to this list.

"The Good Red Road" is a term used by many different Native American tribals communities to represent one who is walking the road of balance, living right and following the rules of the Creator.

1. Search for yourself, by yourself. Do not allow others to make your path for you. It is your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.

2. Treat the guests in your home with much consideration. Serve them the best food, give them the best bed and treat them with respect and honor.

3. Do not take what is not yours. Whether from a person, a community, the wilderness or from a culture. It was not earned nor given. It is not yours. You cannot enjoy what it not yours.

4. Respect all things that are placed upon this Earth.

5. Rise with the sun to pray. Pray alone. Pray often. The Great Spirit will listen, if only you speak.

6. Honor other people’s thoughts, wishes and words. Never interrupt another or mock or mimic them. Allow each person the right to a freedom of opinion. Respect that opinion.

7. Never speak of others in a bad way. The negative energy that you put out into the universe will multiply when it returns to you.

8. All persons make mistakes. No matter how small or how large the mistake is, it can still be forgiven.

9. Bad thoughts cause illness of the spirit, the mind and the body. Keep bad thoughts at bay. Practice optimism.

10. Nature is not FOR us, it is a PART of us. Treat all natural beings as a member of your family.

11. Children are the seeds of our future. Plant love in their hearts and water them with wisdom and life’s lessons. When they are grown, allow them find their own place.

12. Keep yourself balanced. Your Mental self, Spiritual Self, Emotional Self and Physical self all need to be strong, pure and healthy. Work out the body, to strengthen the mind. Grow rich in spirit to cure emotional ails.

13. Make conscious decisions as to who you will be and how you will react. Be responsible for your own actions.

14. Treat the elders as special gems - their wisdom will shine.

15. Be true to yourself first.

My LORD GOD Has Forgiven Me
In the darkness of all, lies the eternity within;
our hearts filled with black as if ice covers them.
Others slip and fall, and we dont really mean for this;
but it is darkness.
They cannot see the icy hearts that lie within our sin.
So many people leave it at that, and go on about their day;
dreaming of what they can do, and how to say;
"LORD forgive me, I am only flesh without you";
then they turn to the darkness and walk away.
To give yourself is the ultimate, to kill yourself in your walk in everyday life is a shame;
for only you are to blame.
To blame for the sorrows and pain, and your life thats so full of vain.
Its saddening to see the darkness fall on so many people;
when they need only to kneel at His steeple.
Give yourself today; your not too far away.
Go now, live in the light;
He has made you right.
Shed the ice, let it fall into the abyss that was once yours;
steer clear from temptations, and the lures.
Do not be the evil that exists in so many;
instead be like the "Lucky Penny".
One that is desired for the goodness it seems to hold;
seems to have a little magic so it is told.
So that the goodness gets past on to the next "Lucky One";
for it may be someones daughter, or someones son.
You've now given yourself to the ultimate, and you yourself are now free;
My LORD GOD Has Forgiven Me!!!!!!

Little things heal our hurt.
Sounds, scents, the spoken word, and music
that may mean nothing to someone else can reach into our souls and do a work that ordinary methods cannot touch.
Simple remedies can heal the deepest ills -
a love that springs from inner wells,
the sounds of bird song and the laughter of children at play.
Our work is to avoid the negative side -
to think and speak only healing words, loving words.
Choices are possible.
Though we make many of them a day,
we do it so unconsciously that we have not realized the effect - fretting about every little thing,
letting the world steal our peace,
and lying down when we should be up and doing.
Choose to be well,
to find contentment and to be a role model for those who watch. Listen for peace.

~ Listen! Or your tongue will make you deaf. ~
