Irene Fixin gained her heavenly wings today. She left a great legacy behind. Im praying for comfort for the family. I love you all and know this will be difficult time especially around the holidays. I know she was ready to go home and singing songs angels havent heard.

Going through the collections of Oklahoma School records...found the Fixin clan. This is for Barber School in 1946.

For the first time, the Cherokee Family Research Center will be in attendance for the globally renown genealogy conference, RootsTech. This conference has 26,000+ attendees, more than 300 hands on classes, over 400 exhibitors that serves a global audience in one location. Dates are February 28 - March 3.
This will be the first time RootsTech will have Cherokee representation so we appreciate the opportunity for our genealogist, Ashley Vann-Thirsty, to represent the Cherokee Heritage Center!
