Grit City Ruckers

May 2026: Murph 26. One warm up lap around Green Lake, some light stretching, hydration, and right into a Murph with GORUCK modifications. We took Alex's suggestion with segmenting and it worked out well. Good morning honoring all who fell in the the service of our Nation since 1775. This month's Tribe Theme was Burn. Yes, indeed.

May 2026: Dirty Turtle 25/50K. Some ran and others joined the Official Rucking Division. The race was led and supported by many Peninsula veterans.

17 miles. 30lbs dry. Brutal terrain. 4 seasons of weather in a single day. Definitely a gut check and a test of being comfortable with being uncomfortable. - We logged a good number of minutes for Memorial Minutes!

Huge respect to all the ruckers and runners out on the course who dug deep and kept moving forward. Grateful for the support staff and everyone manning the aid stations and keeping us moving. Love seeing that community grit!

June 2026: Our annual Joggin for Frogmen 5K was a blast this Saturday at Point Ruston. We messed up with our math and put in a solid 4.5 miles with some appreciation for the hills of Tacoma, but the views were not to be missed! Hope you and yours got out and enjoyed this amazing spell of PNW Sunshine!

May 2026: We joined our friends at wear blue run to remember in Dupont, WA for their annual Memorial Day 5K. The event started with a Chinook landing in the soccer field ferrying a flag for each of the Gold Star Children in attendance. Everyone had the opportunity to sound off with name of the fallen servicemember they were honoring with their steps. The 5K was led out by the Gold Star Children and their military mentors. The course was lined with placards of many of the local fallen and may more. Along the route weaving through the sidewalks of Dupont, we were also handed water, high-fives, and handshakes from veterans of many generations. Oh, and then there were post-run hot dogs. Lots of hot dogs. So great to see this community come out to honor the fallen. Always appreciate being a part of this larger community.

We'll be doing additional events with wear blue this year. Looking forward to it!

May 2026: JBLM Run to Remember. Great opportunity to run and ruck alongside active duty troops and honor the fallen. Our friends at Wear Blue Run to Remember put on this event each year. They set our placards with photos with details about fallen service members. The course is exactly 1 mile, and each lap your given a wristband. Good start to the Memorial Day Weekend putting in 138 Memorial Minutes.

This Saturday morning, we took on the Manion WOD 2026 🇺🇸 honoring 1stLt Travis Manion through the . Glad that it was the first Team RWB event for new Eagles.

Before his final deployment to Iraq, Travis left us with a simple but powerful ethos. “If Not Me, Then Who...” This mindset describes the sense of duty felt by service members and their families. Today it is a constant reminder for all of us to live with character and put the interests of others before our own. We carry forward the legacy of fallen heroes like Travis by leading with character and living out the “If Not Me, Then Who…” ethos.

Thank you to everyone who showed up to sweat, honor, and remember.
