🏁 The JK12 Foundation Memorial Race returns June 12th and 13th to Bridgeport Speedway, in partnership with the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series.🏁

Held in memory of Joey Kay, this weekend brings the racing community together in a way that reflects who he was. Someone who showed up, brought people together, and cared deeply about those around him.

What started as a race has grown into a full, family-friendly weekend. Fans, teams, and supporters can expect competitive sprint car racing, along with events like the tire changing competition. Full weekend details will be announced soon.

With the support of sponsors and the community, last year’s event raised $5,000 for Nova Bucks. In 2026, the goal is to reach $15,000, supporting local organizations and causes throughout the greater Philadelphia area.

This week was a milestone we will never forget.

The JK12 Foundation made its very first donation — a $5,000 gift to Nova Bucks — and standing there as that check was handed over, surrounded by people who loved Joey and people who never even met him but believe in his legacy… it took our breath away.

NOVA holds a very special place in our hearts. They provide critical advocacy and support for victims and families navigating unthinkable circumstances — including walking alongside us throughout the entirety of the criminal trial regarding Joey’s passing. Their compassion, guidance, and strength helped hold up all of Joey’s family and friends when we needed it most. Being able to give back to them feels deeply meaningful.

This foundation was born from loss, but it lives because of love.
Love for Joey.
Love for the way he made people feel.
Love for community, for connection, for showing up for one another the way Joey always did.

Our first donation wasn’t just a financial gift — it was a symbol.
A symbol that Joey’s joy, kindness, and light continue to ripple outward.
A symbol that tragedy can transform into impact.
A symbol that family, friendship, and the dirt racing community can come together and create something beautiful out of heartbreak.
