We had a great time at our June Club Assembly with a fun-filled Jeopardy game, celebrating our members’ birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and Rotary anniversaries, and recognizing our Leadership Sunnyvale graduates.

A special congratulations to our newest member, Lupe Rojas, who presented the Thought of the Day for the first time!

Our club assemblies are always a wonderful mix of fellowship, recognition, laughter, and Rotary spirit.

“Sip, Snack n Pack” was a wonderful evening of fellowship with a purpose! ☕🍿📦

Our members came together to sip, snack, socialize, and pack snack bags for unhoused individuals and people from low-income families in our community. It was heartwarming to see everyone working side-by-side to spread kindness and support to those who need it most. 💙

Rotary is at its best when friendship and service come together — and this event was a beautiful example of that spirit in action. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a difference, one snack bag at a time! 🌎🤝

We had an informative and eye-opening presentation this week at the Rotary Club of Sunnyvale by Officer Joseph Melo from the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Officer Melo shared valuable tips on how to recognize and prevent common frauds and scams targeting our community — from phone scams and phishing emails to online fraud and identity theft. His practical advice reminded us all to stay alert, verify before trusting, and help protect our family, friends, and especially seniors from becoming victims.

A big thank you to Officer Melo for taking the time to educate and empower our community through awareness and prevention! 🚔👏

This week, we were honored to have Dr. Anshu Chandra join us at Sunnyvale Rotary to share the incredible work of the Global Eye Project.

Through her inspiring presentation, we learned how access to quality eye care can transform lives—restoring vision, independence, and hope to communities around the world. 🌍👁️

The Global Eye Project is a powerful reminder of how compassion, expertise, and service can come together to create lasting impact.

Thank you, Dr. Chandra, for opening our eyes to this meaningful cause and for the difference you are making every day.

One of the Areas of Focus of Rotary International is Saving Mothers and Children — because every mother deserves access to safe healthcare, and every child deserves a healthy start in life. 💙

Today, on Mother’s Day, we honor not only the love and strength of mothers everywhere, but also the countless ways mothers nurture families, build communities, and inspire future generations.

Through service projects around the world, Rotarians work to support maternal and child health by improving access to medical care, education, nutrition, and clean water — helping mothers and children live healthier and happier lives.

To all the wonderful mothers in our Rotary family and beyond: thank you for your compassion, sacrifice, resilience, and endless love. You truly make the world a better place. 💐
