This couple, Luisa Piano and João Pellegrino, were honored to share their practical tips and tricks for helping our families keep their spaces organized, fresh and clean without spending a fortune. No matter the size of the space, they showed how a few simple and budget friendly ideas can make a big difference in creating a more peaceful and comfortable living environment. They also held a ticket drawing for the supplies they generously provided, and the lucky family who won went home with a great collection of practical goodies!!

Meet our Director of Programs, Sandy!

As the Director of Programs at Family Promise of Martin County, Sandy has the privilege of working alongside families as they navigate challenges, build stability, and move toward lasting independence.
With more than 20 years of experience in social services and workforce development, she has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families overcome barriers, access opportunities, and achieve their goals. Throughout her journey, Sandy has witnessed the transformative impact that support, education, and community connections can have on people's lives.

“I am passionate about my role because it allows me to combine my experience with my commitment to serving others. Whether I am directing programs, connecting families to resources, supporting parents in achieving employment goals, or celebrating milestones along their journey, I am inspired every day by the resilience and determination of the families we serve.” - Sandy

Her other passions include boating, live music in small venues, and dancing anytime the music moves her!

What a day! What happens when Family Promise of Martin County joins forces with Project SPARK through Midas and Advance Auto Parts? Something truly life changing!!

Niesha and her family received the keys to a car and so much more 🫶 They were surrounded by encouragement, generosity, celebration, and a whole lot of love. Just look at that smile!!!

Reliable transportation can be a game changer for a family. It means getting to work, making appointments, getting children where they need to go, and having greater freedom to keep moving forward. Mission Monday ✨

One of our wonderful volunteers, Kandy, recently spent some time working a little magic one of our transitional housing units!Bringing in some of her own special touches to make the space feel like home 💛

Transitional housing should feel like home, even if it's temporary. But it’s also a place for growth, where families can regroup and work alongside our Case Management team toward achieving lasting stability and independence.

Mission Monday 🛌

One of our families recently moved into their new home, and thanks to the generosity of one of our private donors, we were able to help provide a new bed for one of the daughters!!

As soon as it was set up, she immediately started decorating and making it her own 🫶She was so thankful and excited!!

Mom and her daughters are now enrolled in our Stabilization Program, where they’ll continue working toward stability with support from Family Promise and incredible community partners like Career Connect for career development and Mangata Wellness for counseling services.
