Article from today’s TC Palm’s Luminaries:

CONGRATULATIONS to The Garden Club of Stuart’s College Scholarship recipients! We are so impressed by all your accomplishments, & so proud of you! We wish you all the best in college!

The Garden Club of Stuart presented four college scholarships for $2000 each at their recent Annual Luncheon at Sandhill Cove Living. Receiving scholarships were:
Margaret Ulman - South Fork High School
Reese Richardson - Jensen Beach High School
Erin Gimbal - Jensen Beach HS
Emily Sequeira - Martin County High School

The Garden Club of Stuart raises funds for these scholarships from their biannual Secret Gardens Tour. The aim is to award one graduating senior a scholarship at each of the four main high schools in Martin County.

The student requirements are a 3.5 GPA, & students must plan to major in agriculture, landscape architecture, environmental science, or a related field. Students are selected by their high school participation and leadership in the environmental areas. Their participation, both inside and outside of school, should include activities that demonstrate their passions for the environment. These scholarships are renewable as long as the student maintains a 3.0 GPA, and continues in a major listed above.

The Garden Club of Stuart is extremely proud of this year’s recipients, and wishes them continued success in college.

THANK YOU to The Garden Club of Stuart’s Allamanda Circle & the Master Gardeners’ of UF IFAS Extension Martin County’s Florida Friendly Landscaping Team for all their recent hard work landscaping with native plants at the Historical Society of Martin County’s House of Refuge.
It looks AMAZING‼️🌸‼️

The House of Refuge Museum at Gilbert's Bar is Martin County's oldest structure. Built in 1876, it is the last remaining sanctuary of ten original emergency life-saving stations commissioned on Florida’s Atlantic coast to shelter shipwrecked sailors. Managed by the Historical Society of Martin County, the site blends dramatic coastal views with deep maritime heritage.
