Thank you to StuartLife - The City of Stuart, Florida, & Mayor Reed, for presenting The Garden Club of Stuart with a Proclamation for National Garden Week.

As Garden Club of Stuart President, Mary Neal said in her comments this afternoon:

“Gardeners and Garden Clubs throughout the country take this time to celebrate the art of nurturing and beautifying our environment through several select activities to bring about awareness of this great gift.

Here in Stuart, we have placed a creative arrangement in each of our libraries and include education as to what plant material is used, what National Garden Week entails, information on gardening, and how and why to participate in garden clubs.

Photos of these arrangements can be found on Facebook, under The Garden Club of Stuart, with links to what other clubs in the country have done for this event.

The mission of the Garden Club of Stuart, has been and always will be, to educate the public about the various aspects and rewards of gardening including conservation, community pride, natural resources, and civic beautification.

We believe gardening envelops our whole being, therefore our theme this year is mental, physical, and emotional health through gardening.”

Check back daily for more National Garden Week floral arrangements in our our local Martin County Library System Public libraries.

Today’s arrangement, on display at the Blake Library was created by GCS President Mary Neal, & is a GORGEOUS VICTORIAN Floral arrangement.
