CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR SENIORS! 🫶🏽

Suchona Dey | Events Coordinator
Suchona’s favorite thing about SASA has definitely been the people. She is grateful to have met some of the sweetest and funniest friends through the club. Her favorite memory was the Sholay dance practices, which created unforgettable moments with everyone involved. Suchona’s advice for new E-Board members is to not be shy, to reach out to fellow E-Board members, and to make meaningful connections throughout their time in SASA.

Nafisa Ishra | Events Coordinator
Nafisa’s favorite thing about SASA is meeting so many amazing people and forming new friendships along the way. Her favorite SASA memory was definitely Topgolf for Senior Sendoff, which she enjoyed even though she admits she was not very good at it. Nafisa’s advice for new E-Board members is to truly enjoy their time and learn from the people around them, because everyone has something valuable to offer.

Sharmi Dhar | Head Liaison
Sharmi’s favorite thing about SASA is how open and inclusive everyone is. She appreciates how everyone makes an effort to include one another in conversations, events, and inside jokes while also building friendships outside of SASA. Her favorite memory will always be the Sholay dances each year because being able to dance on stage with the club combined her love for dancing and spending time with friends. Sharmi’s advice for new E-Board members is to always say yes to opportunities. She believes these moments are once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and embracing them can open doors to endless possibilities, just as they did for her.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR SENIORS! 🫶🏽

Darshani Nayak | President
Darshani’s favorite thing about SASA is how quickly it became a family for her. She loves how welcoming everyone is and is incredibly grateful for the friendships and memories she has made over the past three years. Her absolute favorite memory this year was everything leading up to Sholay, especially the endless dance practices and E-Board meetings. Although it was a lot of work, she cherished every moment spent with everyone and knows those are memories she will always miss. Darshani’s advice for new E-Board members is to take advantage of every single opportunity and never be afraid to try new things. She encourages everyone to put themselves out there, stay present, and truly enjoy each moment because time goes by faster than expected.

Diya Nambiar | Vice President
Diya’s favorite thing about SASA is the strong sense of community it provided, truly becoming a home away from home. Through SASA, she met some of her closest friends and created countless meaningful memories. Her favorite memory was the E-Board dance practices for Sholay, which brought everyone closer together. Diya’s advice for next year’s E-Board is to stay on top of their responsibilities while also enjoying every moment, because SASA is always the most fun when everyone makes the most of their time together.

Bhata Seal | Secretary
Bhata’s favorite thing about SASA is the people, along with SASA’s ability to bring together different South Asian identities through fun and engaging events. Her favorite memory from SASA was the Senior Sendoff, which, although bittersweet, brought everyone together and allowed everyone to reflect on how much they had grown over the years. Bhata’s advice for new E-Board members is to support one another and make the most of their time together because it passes by more quickly than they realize.
