We are a cultural, as well as a community/global service & entertainment organization here at Stony Brook University. As a family, our goal is to spread awareness of the rich cultures surrounding the Himalayas, to make differences in the world, and to have fun while building bonds with each other at the same time. We hold events throughout the year celebrating different festivals, tasting food from different cultures, taking part in on&off campus volunteering events, making music/performing/doing fashion shows & raising awareness for various topics that impact not only our community, but the world as a whole. Some of these topics include supporting the impoverished communities in third world nations, giving a voice to the silenced, establishing medical grounds in lacking areas, and taking actions for any current events that need it. Not only will you be a part of such a great organization, you'll get to meet people from other clubs by our collaborative effors across campus as well! Along with this, we also have a mentorship/brother-sister aspect to our club in which you'll get upperclassmen&peers who are there to guide you - whether it be homework/exam help from upperclassmen or just people to have a huge barbeque/go to the beach at night full of stars with (hint, hint)
