What a beautiful Earth Day yesterday in Victory Park. The theme this year was "Our Power, Our Planet. This was the 37th anniversary for this celebration, with over 100 particpants, including Stockton Beautiful. We talked with a lot of people our involvement in the local community, and upcoming projects. Please think about joining us as we continue to make environmental, and sustainable improvements in our community.

Come out and see us, at the Stockton Earth Day Festival in Victory Park. Festival starts at 10:30 AM - 4PM. Our booth is #87 closest to Argonne Driver on the north side of the park.

Stockton Beatiful is proud to support the effort led by Tree Stockton. 

Tree Stockton is proud to be working alongside incredible partners to bring this new community event to life on Saturday, May 16 from 9am to 1pm at Louis Park. We’ll meet at the west end of the Louis Park parking lot and we will be easy to spot. This is more than a clean up. It is a hands on day of tree planting, restoring, learning, and building pride in one of our oldest parks.

Volunteers will help plant and stake trees in pre dug holes, cut back invasive species, plant a native garden, paint concrete barriers, participate in community art, and help refresh the space together. It is about three hours of light work with plenty of guidance along the way. You will also have the chance to learn more about proper tree planting, native plants, and why removing invasive species matters.

We will be giving away trees, so this is your opportunity to win one for your home, along with other goodies from local Stockton businesses. There will be plenty of food for breakfast and lunch to keep everyone fueled and connected.

The Gerry Dunlap Rose Garden in Victory Park is in full bloom and it’s only getting started. Roses are beginning to open across the garden, offering a beautiful preview of what’s to come this season. Stop by, take a stroll, and enjoy one of Stockton’s most cherished rose spaces as it continues to grow more vibrant each week.

Stockton Beautiful is proud to support projects that bring new life to our public spaces. The recently renovated planter areas at the south entrance of the Haggin feature California native plants chosen for their beauty, sustainability, and low water needs. Small improvements like this help strengthen Stockton civic pride. Thank you for the highlight!

We’re looking for volunteers to assist with the Stockton Rose Garden Tour on Saturday, April 25. Volunteers will greet guests and help in the gardens.

Shifts:
• 9:30 AM – 12 PM (setup included)
• 12 PM – 2 PM (may include light cleanup)

Volunteers will still need to purchase a ticket, as all proceeds support Delta College horticulture scholarships.

We’re excited to take part in the first Stockton Rose Garden Tour on Saturday, April 25, beginning at 10:30 AM. Stockton Beautiful is proud to partner with the and for this new spring event celebrating some of ’s most beautiful rose gardens.

The tour is self-guided, allowing you to visit five gardens at your own pace. Be sure to start your day at the Gerry Dunlap Rose Garden in Victory Park, where the roses will be in full bloom. Stockton Beautiful board members will be there to welcome guests, share information about our work, and talk about ways you can get involved in helping keep Stockton beautiful.

Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at several local locations or on the day of the tour.

On Tuesday, January 13, Stockton Beautiful hosted our Annual Report & Dinner at the Stockton Golf & Country Club. It was a wonderful evening sharing our 2025 accomplishments and looking ahead to the projects planned for 2026.

This past year, we were proud to collaborate with community partners on initiatives including rose garden education, tree planting support, the Haggin Museum south entrance landscape restoration, and the Pacific Avenue median improvement near the Calaveras River.

We’re deeply grateful for the continued support of our volunteers, donors, and partners who make this work possible. Together, we remain committed to building a more Beautiful Stockton in the year ahead.

It was a cold, foggy day for our annual Gerry Dunlap Rose Garden pruning last Saturday, January 17th but we perservered and it done! TJ provided some very helpful tips as he was busy attending to the garden. Our thanks to TJDavid/The Rose Man and Sylvia Perez with the World Peace Rose Garden Organization for their continued support with and Grupe-Huber for their promotional supprt. T J David and Randy Woods did a fabulous job on all the rose plants. The garden will be fabulous with blooms starting in April/May timeframe.
