CALL TO REVIEW IAQ CONTRACT: The SUSD community deserves transparency and accountability when it comes to decisions that impact students, staff, and families. Towards this end, a formal request has been made to review the IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) contract at the August 26th SUSD Board Meeting.

Superintendent Rodriguez has not responded to two earlier requests. She has stated she does not believe it is her responsibility to address this issue because it occurred prior to her arrival.

The Stockton Record reports District Attorney Frietas reached a $3.75M settlement with IAQ Distribution regarding SUSD $7 million air filter purchase. The charges against AngelAnn Flores could just have easily been "settled" given that Trustee Flores offered to reimburse the district whatever overcharges they claimed she made. At tremendous cost to Stockton taxpayers, Frietas turned that offer down -- but accepted a settlement that still cost SUSD $3.25 million!

District Attorney Ron Freitas and accomplice Patrick (motec) Sanchez take a victory lap after wasting hundred of thousands of dollars to prosecute a claim of insurance fraud that will most certainly be overturned on appeal.

Questions still linger regarding Christina Fugazi’s cryptic June 24 warning regarding any attempt to recall her as Mayor. “If anybody is interested in starting a recall” she warned, “best of luck.”

It’s a mystery as to who the message was intended for. The only recall effort of a Stockton Mayor occurred in 2018, when an unsuccessful attempt was made to overturn the 70% landslide victory of then Mayor Michael Tubbs. The reasons for the recall? Unsubstantiated claims of “cronyism” made by 209 Times founder Patrick (Motec) Sanchez.

Testimony that a quid pro quo agreement was reached between Mr. Sanchez and District Attorney’s Ron Freitas to falsely prosecute Trustee Flores, along with 209 Times well documented history of targeting elected officials who run a foul of their interests, raises a serious questions.

Is it possible that like Michael Tubbs and AngelAnn Flores, Mayor Fugazi is being targeted by 209 Times for refusing to ‘fall in line?’ As the Mayor has yet to clarify her comment, we are left to speculate.

In their failed and very costly attempt to prosecute a case that should never have seen the inside of a court room, the District Attorney's office released a statement reassuring residents of Stockton and the County that they are hot on the trail of any elected official suspected of fraud. WELL DON... WE ARE WAITING!
