Today, I had the privilege of witnessing an extraordinary family's progress. Initially, I encountered them a year ago during the Trinity Parkway clean-up event, where Michele Padilla was assisting them. Despite their initial reluctance and bumpy start, I continued to follow their journey until they were ready to accept support. Today, I observed Rath completing the New Directions program, and Toeu is set to complete it next week. Currently, they are working towards reunifying with their daughter this month, and we are addressing their housing needs. Toeu has been employed with our CARES team. Remarkably, they have expressed gratitude for the challenges they faced, which initially left them feeling angry. The prospects for this family are limitless, and I am proud of the significant progress they have made. This is indeed one of our most notable success stories. Michele Padilla

Thank you to Bowers-Wilkerson Melanie and the girl scouts, Amy Burks and her daughter, and Melissa Castillano for helping me put baskets together and stuff eggs. Our donations went to prevail domestic violence shelter, gospel rescue mission, and on Monday I will be dropping off at Mary Gram Hall.
