Troop 84 Rainmakers

Cold weather didn’t stop Troop 84 this weekend at our December cabin campout at Canyon Camp. Despite the frigid temperatures, the scouts were busy sledding, snowshoeing, snow snakes, and cross-country skiing. After a full day outside, we warmed up indoors with a movie night featuring Elf and The Grinch, popcorn, and snacks. A new baked potato bar for dinner was a crowd favorite and will definitely be making a return. Another great winter adventure for the books.

Tonight we had the pleasure of Pack 89s Arrow of Light Den pay us a visit. We did some woodworking with making a Fleur-De-Lis coasters and some Tops. Fun was had!

These are opportunities for our scouts to show them a little taste of the Scouts BSA program. It’s a great experience for our Troop to demonstrate and interact which is an important element of leadership.

Scouting for Food

Thanks Pack 89 and Troops 82 and 84 for the great turn out to help with Scouting For Food. We collected over 3500 items!

Platteville friends — tomorrow morning our Scouts will be out collecting donations for Scouting for Food!

This annual food drive supports our local food pantries.

Simply place a bag with non-perishable food items on your porch, and the Scouts will pick it up.

Food drives are always important, but this year they’re especially vital as local needs rise amid government cutbacks.

Thank you for helping us make a difference!

What a busy but rewarding day for our troop at 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬!🎉 We started the morning proudly marching in the parade, showing off our Scouting spirit to the community along with other Units in Platteville. Later, our Scouts rolled up their sleeves and pitched in with trash clean-up at the Dairy Days Carnival, helping keep the grounds clean for everyone to enjoy. A huge thank you to our Scouts and leaders for their hard work and positive energy — it’s great to see Scouting in action both in celebration and in service! 💚👟🗑️
