We’re EXCITED to see one of Canyon Camp’s own getting some well-deserved recognition!

Congratulations to Lee Binkley, who will serve as a Co-Parade Marshal for Cheese Days in Monroe! 🧀🎉

Lee has been a leader in his community for many years, but those of us at Canyon Camp also know just how much of himself he has given to camp. After serving many, MANY years on Canyon Camp staff, Lee has helped shape the experience, traditions, and spirit of Canyon for generations of Scouts and staff members.

Canyon Camp is better because Lee Binkley has been part of its story — and we couldn’t be happier to see the Monroe community recognize someone who has spent so much of his life serving others.

Congratulations, Lee! We’ll be cheering you on from Canyon Camp! 👏🏕️🧀

They're back! Due to the rainout in 2024, Lee Binkley and Randy Ninmer have been asked to reprise their roles as Cheese Days Parade Marshals! We've promised them they won't need umbrellas this time.

Canyon Camp Staff alumnus Jarod Kannarr and his wife Abby are celebrating their honeymoon out in Washington State! Today they enjoyed a visit to Mount Rainier National Park, to which Jarod brought his trusty Canyon Camp water bottle.

How are you showing your pride for Canyon Camp this week? Whether it is using a water bottle, wearing a t-shirt, or showing off a sticker, we hope you consider representing camp in all the things you do!

A big thank you to Tim Watson who coordinated a cheerful team of volunteers to help clear out part of the five-mile trail at Canyon Camp!

The trail has been inaccessible since the derecho storm that came through in July 2024 and we have dearly missed using it for program the past two summers.

This team has much more work to be done — consider joining us at the Woodcutter's Ball event on Saturday, October 3rd to help us finish the rest of the trail.

Thank you again to these awesome volunteers!

Our next program area highlight is COPE!

COPE offers the Climbing Merit Badge, the COPE Activity Patch, and a variety of activities that challenge Scouts to step outside their comfort zone while having fun.

Canyon Camp alumnus Ted Logan was recently featured by Helm Group for his strong leadership, work ethic, and passion for helping other people.
