HUMANS TOGETHER: THREE OR MORE HUMANS GALLERY SHOW AT KIFA
October 29, 2026 was the Reception for Humans Together: Three or More Humans Gallery Show at Kent Island Federation of Arts (KIFA). The Show Judge was Judy Wolgast a former President of KIFA and an award winning artist. Judy began watercolor study in Gold Hill, Colorado and later became involved with intaglio printmaking at Maryland Hall in Annapolis. Currently, she is a member of the Anne Arundel Community College Printmaking Club where she has been able to expand her drawing and painting skills. Presently, she is working with a professional master printmaker. Judy is an enthusiastic admirer and encourager of other artists in diverse media. She hopes that her etchings provoke interest in not only the images but also in the process. The gallery show was coordinated by Margaret Tessier with assistance from Melissa Craig, Becky Placek, Sharon Harvey, and Vicki Spinelli. Sally Prascus and Susan Thau hung the show. Twenty-five people attended the reception. Thirty-four pieces are in this show featuring oils, acrylics, watercolor, graphics, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, and jewelry. The show closes on December 21. KIFA is open and free for viewing to the public Thursday-Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., 405 Main Street, Stevensville.

Gourd Night Light with Lorraine Sincavage at KIFA, 405 Main Street, Stevensville - November 12, 2026 - Thursday 12:30 - 3:30 pm
You will learn how to prepare a gourd for your design, drill holes in the gourd and insert beads, then seal the gourds and attach the light fixture.
This class is for beginner adults.
$25 KIFA members | $35 Non-members
Plus $5 materials fee.
You will need to bring a drill with a 9/64 drill bit and second bit smaller than 9/64.

October 10, 2026, KIFA sponsored an Arts & Crafts Show at Historic Christ Church Parish Hall, Stevensville. Twenty-five vendors participated in this well-attended show. No vendor fee was charged. This unique art market highlighted local artists and craftspeople selling their original work.

October 7, 2026--Welcome to new KIFA member and docent Donna Fairhurst Gardner! Her mediums are ceramics, watercolor, photography, mixed media, sculpture, acrylic, furniture, and jewelry. Donna has been an artist since she was a child. She graduated from Severna Park High School and has a B.S. in Art Education K-12 from University of Maryland College Park. Donna was an art teacher at Arundel Middle School. At Anne Arundel Community College, Donna started the program “Kids in College”. It provides year-round youth courses and popular summer enrichment day camps for children and teens from ages 6 years to 15 years.
