June 10, 2026--Welcome to returning KIFA Docent, Lis Cockey! Her medium is quilting (appliqué). Quilting appliqué is a technique where smaller fabric shapes are stitched onto a larger background fabric to create pictures, patterns, or textures. The three main methods are raw-edge (fused), turned-edge (needle-turn or freezer paper), and machine appliqué (invisible or satin stitch). AMERICA 250: CELEBRATING OUR COUNTRY’S BIRTHDAY GALLERY SHOW AT KIFA
June 4, 2026 was the Reception for America 250 Gallery Show with the Kent Island Garden Club at Kent Island Federation of Arts (KIFA).
