💜 Because of you, lives are changing, and we want to say THANK YOU! 💜

Every sponsorship, boat registration, donation, raffle ticket purchase, volunteer hour, and shared post helps make this work possible.

Not My Child has supported more than 50 individuals through Project Restart, expanded Choose Hope to two monthly support groups for loved ones, launched our new Partners in the Workplace employer education initiative, and will welcome 10 participants to CPRS training this July. We're also excited to launch grief workshops through Choose Hope this September in partnership with Compass Hospice.

As we prepare for the 4th Annual Lil’ Amp’s Bent Rods Fishing Tournament , we're taking a moment to reflect on the impact our community has made and the lives that continue to be touched because of your support.

There are many ways to get involved:
🎣 Register a boat
💜 Become a sponsor
💜 Make a donation
🇬🇷 Purchase raffle tickets for our Greece Getaway giveaway

Together, we're creating pathways to recovery, employment, healing, and hope across Maryland's Mid-Shore.

More than a fishing tournament. A day of purpose, community, and hope. 🎣

Last year’s Lil’ Amp’s Bent Rods Fishing Tournament was nothing short of incredible—boats out before sunrise, friendly competition, unforgettable memories, and a community coming together to make a difference.

Now we’re gearing up for our biggest tournament yet on September 12, 2026, and we can’t wait to do it all again.

Whether you’re a seasoned angler, a weekend fisherman, a sponsor, or someone who simply believes in our mission, this event is about more than fishing. Every registration, sponsorship, raffle ticket, and donation helps support the work of Not My Child and the individuals and families we serve.

Take a look back at the highlights from last year and see what makes this tournament so special. Then tag your crew, share this post, and start making your plans.

Who’s ready to bend some rods for a great cause at the 4th Annual Lil’ Amp’s Bent Rods Fishing Tournament ?🎣💙

Visit our website to register, sponsor, and/or purchase a raffle ticket to win a trip to Greece!

Yesterday’s Lunch & Learn was an incredible reminder of what can happen when a community comes together around a shared purpose.

We are so grateful to everyone who attended, asked questions, shared ideas, and showed support for our new Partners in the Workplace initiative through our Project Restart program.

The enthusiasm in the room and the willingness of employers, community leaders, service providers, and recovery advocates to be part of the conversation was truly inspiring.

A special thank you to the Kent County Family YMCA for hosting us and to Play It Again Sam for providing a delicious lunch. We also want to thank our speakers, Dr. Anne Bach-Starling, Brian Stitcher and Norman Townsend, and our intern Megan Amoia, that all helped make this event a success.

This initiative is about creating opportunities, reducing stigma, and helping employers build stronger, healthier workplaces while supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use and recovery.

We left yesterday feeling energized, encouraged, and grateful for the support this community continues to show. The momentum is real, and we are excited for what comes next.

Thank you for believing in this work and for being part of the journey.

Together, we move forward! 💜💙
