Tonight my sophomore volunteers from Big Red presented Google Slides on topics that would benefit the girls, but also what they’ve gone through, how they’ve handled it, what made them resilient, and to show the girls how important it is not to isolate yourself, and to speak up! Veronica presented Resilience & what it is, along with a quiz for the girls and examples to help them understand more of what it means to be resilient. Ans presented grief and loss of loved ones tonight and the importance of not shutting everyone out, don’t hide in your bedroom, go out with friends, attend therapy and how grief can look in all of its stages. She explained that there is no wrong or right way to grieve, everyone goes through grief differently. Always ask questions. I am beyond proud of Ans & Veronica! Thank you so much!! The girls were drawn in and learned so much!
