Grand Theater for the Performing Arts - Steubenville Ohio The Grand Theater Restoration Project and Convention Center is an all volunteer 501c3 non-profit formed by a group of local citizens.

The Grand Theater is a performing arts center and Convention Center. The stage and dressing rooms will allow us to put on performances as well as play movies. We will also have a museum of performing arts history of Steubenville as well as other items of interest. Two ballrooms for conventions and events as well as our beautiful lobby. The Grand Theater/Steubenville Historic Landmarks Foundation owns itself. The Grand is not owned by any individual or company. The Grand has a board of directors that are all volunteer and working on the restoration of the theater. We are a 501c3 non-profit and file an annual 990.

Getting closer to being ready! I was asked to add a "before" photo, so one is now included so you can see how far we have come. Also I have added the photo taken by Wurlitzer when they installed the pipe organ and console in 1924, it gives you an idea what it will look like with curtains eventually (we are waiting on a price estimate for that now, and then will have to work on that funding as well.). Thanks Scott.

Thank you Judy Schmidt for your original artwork on display in the lobby!!

A special thank you to Pastaio Trattoria Italiana for their donation of 40 nice padded chairs today (the ones on the left and right down front)! That got us to our target total of 270. We could use more padded chairs to replace the 100 folding metal chairs we are using. Thanks!!

Our open house that day will run from 11 AM to 2 PM.
