If you’re able to help our Acts of Kindness ministry, it’s very much appreciated!!

I don't ask because it's easy. I ask because sometimes there truly is nowhere else to turn.

In the last four days, I have worked with five families with a total of 15 children who are struggling with housing and food insecurity. Mothers are working full time and still cannot make ends meet.

I've spent countless hours calling for help, only to hear, “There is no help available.”

So we keep doing what we can. Finding diapers. Delivering food and meals. Finding warm clothes. Searching for affordable housing. Sitting with families and helping them work through the barriers standing between them and stability.

Tonight, I am asking for help for one family who needs us to bridge their motel stay. They have nowhere else to turn.

If you can give $5, $10, $20, or whatever God puts on your heart, please know it matters. When we all give a little, we can make a big difference.

Your gift isn't just money. It is a roof over a child's head and hope for a family that desperately needs to know they are not alone.

Our kiddos are experiencing so many new and intriguing things. A few months ago the kids taste tested multi kinds of vegetables prepared in different ways. Based on what they liked, that’s what they decided to grow. They each germinated their own seeds and then transplanted them into the garden beds that they also built and prepared. We love our Living In Truth and Fellowship (LIFT) children’s ministry!

We have a young couple working with Restoration Road Ministry expecting their first baby, a little boy, within the next month! 👶💙

Not long ago they were homeless. Today they’re living with family, and that’s where they’ll bring their son home. We’re walking alongside them as they get ready, but we need your help.

"Everything is figureoutable."

We've come across artwork with this phrase a few times lately, and it stuck with us. So did a piece of advice from a behavioral health response article: say yes, then name what the yes requires. A flat no is how the work stalls.

That's the reality our team lives every day.

When someone calls us at 7pm on a Saturday, or on a federal holiday, it's not because they're lazy. It's usually because they've already tried everything they can on their own. They've called 211. They've reached out to the organizations they've heard of. But most resources are only open during business hours, and some vital local resources here in Iredell have been cut back. We're hearing from more people because of it.

RRM was never meant to duplicate existing services. We exist to help people navigate them, and to get it right the first time. We work in between systems. We get to know them, walk with people across the silos, and remove barriers where we can.

And if a service doesn't exist or isn't available? We'll figure it out.

I think that's why people trust us. We don't give up easily. We say yes first, then work out what comes next.

Grateful that our efforts are recognized and supported by the Statesville ABC Board again this year. Every contribution supports those with a desire to become free from alcohol and substance addiction. Together, we’re making a difference!

Meet Dustin 👊

Dustin is another reminder that a slip doesn't have to decide what comes next.

When he saw things getting out of hand again, he didn't wait. He reached out. We got moving fast in those first few days and connected him to treatment through our community partners. After he finished the program, he was accepted into a sober living program a little farther from home, where he can focus on a fresh start.

Our own sober living homes aren't the right answer for everyone, and that's okay. Our job is to help each person find what's best for them, wherever that is, and to keep showing up for them along the way.

We're proud to keep walking this road with Dustin, and we can't wait to share more good news soon. Stay tuned!!

⚠️ LOOK BEFORE YOU DRINK. This could matter more than you think.

Take a look at this cooler at a local gas station. Some of these drinks can look just like an ordinary energy drink, supplement, wellness drink, or sports drink. But some may contain THC, kratom, or other psychoactive ingredients.

That matters for more people than you might realize.

👵🏼 Older adults: You may pick up a drink thinking it’s simply a supplement or wellness beverage.

💊 People in recovery: Something that looks harmless could contain an ingredient that can trigger cravings, affect your recovery, or lead to dependence.

🧪 Anyone subject to drug testing: Certain products may contain substances that could potentially result in a positive drug test.

The packaging isn’t always obvious, and products can be sitting right alongside ordinary beverages at gas stations and convenience stores.

Before you buy it, read the entire label. Look for words like THC, delta-8, delta-9, hemp-derived cannabinoids, kratom, mitragynine, or other active ingredients you don’t recognize.

And if you’re not sure what something contains, don’t assume it’s harmless because it looks like a regular drink.

📢 Share this. Someone you know—especially a parent, grandparent, person in recovery, or someone required to take drug tests—may genuinely not know to look for these products.

A few seconds of awareness could prevent a very unexpected problem.

🚗 Three women. One month. Three more steps toward independence.

Over the past month, we’ve had the privilege of helping three women in recovery obtain their driver’s licenses. Two of them also received donated vehicles.

One woman came to us from a domestic violence shelter and has now transitioned into her own home. The others are currently living in our transformational housing program.

Everyone knows transportation is one of the biggest barriers people face in recovery. But instead of simply talking about the problem, we decided to find ways to help overcome it.

A license. A vehicle. A way to get to church, work, healthcare, appointments, meetings and ultimately build a life of independence.

These aren’t just cars or pieces of plastic, they’re investments in people, recovery, and the future of our communities.
