From 5pm on Wednesday evening until the early morning hours Stanley Volunteers staffed at least 1 ambulance for 25 hours. We responded to 11 calls where we assisted, stood by or transported to the hospital. Two crews also attended an extrication training with CO.24 for 3 hours. Great job everyone.

In remembrance of the ones that are no longer with us that fought and paid for our Freedoms.

Today, SVRS members Travis, Madison & Lindsey represented Rescue 4 at a Touch-A-Truck event for our local "SHINE Homeschool Group".

Rescue 4 showcased Ambulance 427 & Response 4 to the homeschool group. The students were provided an introduction of our members and an interactive discussion into what the volunteer rescue squad does.

We partnered with Stanley Volunteer Fire Department & Stanley Police Department who also held discussions into their respective agencies.

Following the discussions the students were able to migrate between the various agencies and learn more about their roles as first responders.

While visiting with SVRS students tried on our personal protective equipment, enjoyed rides on the stretcher and got to experience what it is like being strapped to a backboard.

SVRS thanks SHINE Homeschool Group for inviting us to be apart of their event today!

~~Attention Stanley Residents ~~
As you all know Page County has paid EMS career staff stationed in every town to help ensure that the Page County residents and visitors have access to Emergency Medical Services when needed. In the past the Stanley staffed EMS crew has been housed at the Stanley Vol Rescue Squad station.
Recently Page County has completed renovations on their new building located at 215 West Main Street, Suite B, at the Stanley Plaza.
The Stanley Vol Rescue Squad members are doing their best to staff volunteer crews to answer calls as our schedules allow. However, we can’t guarantee 24-hour staffing at our station any longer, but be assured if you call 911 a volunteer ambulance or paid ambulance will be headed your way.
If you decide to drive to the station for an emergency or wish to have your vitals checked during the overnight or daytime hours you might want to try the West Main Street, Suite B station first, as it will be staffed 24/7, or just call 911.
Thank you. SVRS, Operational Officers
