For We The People, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has an immediate opening for a part-time Program Assistant based at Hawksbill Trading Company in Luray, Virginia.
This is a temporary position running through October, with potential for long-term employment.
Compensation: $14/hour, paid biweekly
Schedule: 18–25+ hours per week
Expected start date: ASAP, no later than July 1
Required availability:
- Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (Fluctuating), 2 p.m.–6 p.m., with occasional 10 a.m.–2 p.m. shifts
- Fridays, 2 p.m.–6 p.m.
- Saturdays, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Some holidays
Duties include:
- Cashier duties
- Customer service and client relations
- Administrative support
- General program and retail support as needed
Ideal candidate will be:
- Reliable and professional
- Friendly and outgoing
- Able to multitask
- Able to work independently
- Experienced with cashier or customer service work
- Able to lift up to 45 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
