🎉 The Final Week of 10K for Good 🎉
For the final week of our summer initiative, randomly selected employee Kaelan Lemen chose to award a $1,000 donation to Fostering the Village, a non-profit ministry of Children's Rescue Center, Inc. Pictured is Kaelan presenting a $1,000 check to Fostering the Village Director, Andrea Shroyer.
Fostering the Village, located in Springfield, Ohio, partners with families who are caring for children affected by foster and kinship care. By offering encouragement, support, and vital resources, the organization helps ease the challenges these families face and empowers more people to welcome children from difficult circumstances into their homes. 🏠💙
These funds will help purchase essential items that cannot be accepted as gently used donations, including diapers, wipes, pull-ups, laundry detergent, socks, and underwear. For safety reasons, Fostering the Village also provides only new cribs and new car seats to the families they serve. This donation will help provide critical resources for dozens of local families who rely on the organization’s support.
When asked why he chose this organization, Kaelan said, "I chose Fostering the Village because after my wife and I went through the foster care licensing process, I realized how challenging it is to be prepared for children of all ages and their unique needs. Fostering The Village helps bridge that gap by providing essential resources and support, making it easier for foster families to welcome children into a safe, loving home on short notice. Their mission removes barriers for foster parents and allows them to focus on what matters most, caring for children in need."
