🐾 Hey, everyone! Anya here! 🐾

I need to have a little talk with all our new followers. I’ve been with Buckeye Husky Rescue and Rehome since June 5th—except for eight days when I went to what was supposed to be my furever home. Sadly, it didn’t work out, so I came back to the rescue.

When I first arrived, I had a tumor on my neck. Rescue Momma took me to the vet, where I was spayed, had the tumor removed and received all my vaccines. My neck has healed beautifully, and most of my shaved fur has grown back!

I’m now the longest-waiting dog at the rescue. I’ve watched Locomotive, Nikita, Chip, Gracie, Kima and Angel find their forever homes. I’m happy for every one of them—but I keep wondering when it will finally be my turn. 💔

I’m 7 years young, completely house-trained and very well-behaved. I don’t chew things up, I eat well and I absolutely love people! I’ve been around all the dogs here and have only had one disagreement. I also have a great “scents” of humor! 😂

Momma Mel says I’m going to be the rescue’s Dog of the Month for the rest of September! That means it’s finally my time to shine. 🌟

Please share my post and help it reach the person who has been looking for a sweet, funny and loving girl like me. My forever family has to be out there somewhere—I just need your help finding them!

Mr. Bandit is officially a DRAMA KING! 🤣🐾

Bandit is absolutely petrified of the vet. The office was overcrowded today, which is very unusual. He was doing okay until a full-grown Husky and German Shepherd came in—and the Shepherd decided to bark at him. I kept Bandit safely on the floor between my feet until, thankfully, a room opened and they took us back.

Once inside, he laid down like a perfectly well-behaved Husky…but the staff knows Bandit! In they came carrying the cone of shame. I had to bear-hug him with my legs and put the cone on him myself.

Then it was time for his vaccines and heartworm test. They laid him on his side and went to work—and Bandit SCREAMED like you wouldn’t believe! People in the waiting room probably thought something terrible was happening.

Nope—just shots! 🤣

Then he pranced right back for his X-rays and, for some reason, did perfectly fine!

Now for the wonderful news: Bandit’s broken bones are still healing and are right on track for where they should be! Unless his behavior changes—such as showing signs of pain or refusing to place his paw on the ground—he does not need to return for another recheck.

The vet said breaks this complex will take time to heal, so we’ll continue being patient and giving him all the love and care he needs, until we find him a home to call his own. Thank you to everyone who donated, prayed and helped make today’s visit possible! ♥️🐾

Bandit hasn’t been putting much weight on his injured foot when walking. He does very well zooming around on three legs, but during slow, leash-controlled walks, he has been trying to place it on the ground.

Bandit goes to the vet today at 4 p.m. He’ll have his vaccines updated and new X-rays taken to check his leg and the two broken bones.

Please keep our sweet boy in your thoughts and prayers. We’re praying the bones are still healing and that we receive good news today! 🙏🐾♥️

Another busy day for me! 🐾

When the hubby took Ms. Xena out for her morning walk, she decided to come over and help me in the office. As you can see, after we played ball, she wasn’t much help! 😂 Apparently, supervising is exhausting work!

Today’s to-do list:

✅ Grocery shopping
🧺 Laundry—started
✅ Dogs fed breakfast
✅ Breakfast for us
✅ Shredding 20 pounds of chicken—started
💻 Office work—started
🐾 Brush out two huskies
✅ Mow the grass
🐶 Feed the dogs dinner
🍽️ Cook our dinner

It’s going to be another full day around here! What are your plans for today?
