Kathy is the glue that holds so much together around here. She’s a selfless leader, always ready to take on a challenge, lend a helping hand, and somehow still make everyone laugh along the way. We’re lucky to celebrate and appreciate her every single day, but today is extra special because it’s HER birthday! 🎉

Kathy, we love you dearly and are so thankful for all you do for CASA, the children we serve, and everyone around you. We hope your day is filled with all the love and joy you so freely give to others. Happy Birthday! 🎂

Understanding how CASA works is the first step to truly showing up for abused children in our community.

Court Appointed Special Advocates is one of the most effective programs supporting children in the foster care and child welfare system, pairing trained volunteers with children to help ensure their needs are seen and heard in court and beyond.

Today, nearly 1,000 CASA programs across the country and more than 70,000 volunteers work to protect the rights of children and help guide them toward safe, permanent homes.

When you volunteer with CASA, you become a powerful advocate for children who need stability, safety, and a permanent home.

CASA volunteers help children move toward adoption, reduce time in foster care, and improve their chances of long-term stability. Kids with CASA are less likely to re-enter the system, experience fewer placement changes, and often receive more supportive services while in care.

Just as importantly, volunteers provide something the system can’t replace: a consistent, caring adult who stays with the child through every step of the process.
