🇺🇸 National Police Week 2026💙

In 1962, John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation designating May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which it falls as National Police Week.

During this week, we honor and remember the courageous law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, dedicating their lives to the safety and protection of others. Their service, bravery, and legacy will never be forgotten.

We also recognize and thank the officers who continue to serve our communities each day with courage, professionalism, and compassion, as well as the families who support them behind the badge.

The Springfield Police Department proudly stands in remembrance of the fallen and in support of all those who wear the uniform in service to others. 💙
