💙 September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month.

This month, we’re turning TEAL and raising our voices for every woman who has heard the words, “You have cancer,” for every family walking beside her, and for every woman who deserves to know the warning signs BEFORE she ever needs us.

Gynecologic cancers include cancers of the o***y, uterus/endometrium, cervix, v***a and va**na. While every cancer is different, one message applies to them all:
Know your body. Pay attention to changes. Speak up when something doesn’t feel right.

Throughout September, GYN Cancers Alliance will share information every day to help our community recognize symptoms, understand risks, and advocate for their health.

Awareness isn't meant to create fear.

It's meant to give women knowledge—and knowledge is power. 💙

💙 TOMORROW WE TURN SEPTEMBER TEAL! 💙

Tomorrow marks the beginning of Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month, and all month long GYN Cancers Alliance will be raising our voices for the women who are fighting, the survivors who inspire us, the loved ones we remember, and every woman who deserves to know the signs and symptoms.

💙 Awareness can start with ONE conversation. Talk about the symptoms. Know what is normal for your body. Encourage the women you love to speak up when something doesn’t feel right.

Throughout September, we’ll be sharing information about ovarian, uterine/endometrial, cervical, v***ar, va**nal, fallopian tube and other gynecologic cancers—because these conversations matter.

Tomorrow is Day 1 of 30. Follow along, share our posts, and help us spread awareness throughout the Ozarks and beyond.

As soon as you enter through GATE #1, look for our GYNCA GALS waiting for you just to the right, across from the tall stairs! 💙

⭐️ And here’s the exciting part… Around 6:00 PM, our GYNCA ticket holders will have a special VIP opportunity to WALK ON THE FIELD! ⚾️🤩 Our group will then be taken up to our SHADED SEATS to enjoy the game together!

Tonight, we're filling the ballpark with TEAL as GYN Cancers Alliance and the Springfield Cardinals come together to kick off Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month!

But tonight is about so much more than baseball.

Tonight is about HER. 💙

The survivor who fought with everything she had.

The woman sitting in a treatment chair today.

The newly diagnosed woman wondering what comes next.

The caregiver holding someone's hand through the hardest days.

And the women we remember and carry with us every single day.

Tonight, we come together for all of them.

We hope you can join us for our fall concert, "We Remember Them", on September 20th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Presented in partnership with GYN Cancers Alliance (GYNCA) during Gynecological Cancer Awareness Month, this concert acknowledges grief as a natural part of life while offering music as a vehicle for healing, remembrance, and connection. Our fifth season opens with "The Sacred Veil" by Eric Whitacre, a poignant work tracing love, illness, and loss. Written after lyricist Charles Anthony Silvestri lost his wife to ovarian cancer, the piece reflects a reality that has touched nearly every family.

We close with “We Remember Them” by Susan LaBarr, a moving work by the Springfield-based composer that reminds us remembrance carries love forward long after loss.

In addition to ticket sales, guests will be invited to make a freewill offering benefiting GYNCA and its mission to support individuals and families impacted by gynecologic cancers in the Ozarks. This program invites our community into a shared reflection that is honest, tender, compassionate, and ultimately hopeful.

More Than an Anniversary

This isn’t simply an anniversary celebration.

It’s a celebration of every woman who walked through our doors looking for help.

Every family who needed someone to listen.
Every survivor who gave another woman hope.

Every person who helped build GYNCA into what it is today.
