GYNCA GYN Cancers Alliance provides education, resources and support to local women and caregivers affected by gynecologic cancers.

GYNCA Mission: GYN Cancers Alliance provides education, resources, and support to local women and their families affected by gynecologic cancers. GYNCA Services: GYNCA provides four key components inherent to the support and assistance of gynecologic cancer fighters & survivors; financial assistance, education, community, and resources. Our organization brings all gynecologic cancer patients toget

her, including their caregivers and families. Fueled by Hope:
- Removing barriers to treatment
- GYNCA provides up to $5,400 a month in fuel assistance to women in active treatment for gynecologic cancers
- GYNCA serves 30 counties in SW Missouri; many of our members live in rural areas, and travel hours daily for their treatment
- Our service area continues to increase as more needs are identified in more rural areas

Case Management & Advocacy:
- Regular follow-up contact with GYNCA members
- Ongoing research for other resources by county, and making educated referrals to help support our families throughout their cancer journey

Emergency Financial Assistance:
- Each member has access to up to $500 in emergency assistance for the duration of their treatment journey.
- Example of emergency assistance: car repairs, utilities, rent, etc. Building Connection & Community:
- Monthly Support Group Meetings in Springfield
- Quarterly Support Group Meetings in Joplin (pending)

Wig Assistance:
- A one-on-one wig consultation, free wig, wig stand, supplies and care instructions.
- Supplies such as scarves, hats, beanies, chemo caps, and more.
- We strive to make these wig fittings very personal and meaningful.
- Hair loss during cancer treatment is a traumatic process, and we try to make that process a little less tragic for our ladies.
- Often times, after diagnosis, the first questions our medical teams hear is, "will I lose my hair?"

What a wonderful evening of creativity, connection, and encouragement! 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Craft Night. Your smiles, laughter, stories, and support for one another made the evening truly special. Each project created was more than just a craft—it was a reminder of the strength, resilience, and friendship that exists within our community.

Cancer can be a difficult journey, but nights like these remind us that no one has to walk it alone. We are grateful for every survivor, patient, caregiver, family member, and friend who shared their time and talents with us.

Together, we continue to build a community filled with hope, understanding, and support.

Our group meets to connect with each other and have some fun. The ladies that attend are at all stages of their cancer journey. They laugh, care, share, and become friends.

Every Quarter we host meetings in Joplin, Springfield, & Branson!
This month includes fun free events at each location!

Our topic this Quarter is about Cancer Survivorship.

Cancer survivorship begins at diagnosis and continues through the remainder of a person's life. Whether you are newly diagnosed, currently in treatment, or years beyond treatment, you are a survivor.

Survivorship is about more than cancer-free scans.
It includes physical health, emotional well-being, relationships, financial concerns, and finding a new sense of normal.

You Are Not Alone
One of the most powerful tools in survivorship is connection. Whether through support groups, educational programs, volunteer opportunities, or simply sharing your story, connecting with others can provide hope and encouragement.

At GYN Cancers Alliance, we are committed to supporting survivors every step of the way. Your experience matters, your voice matters, & your journey continues to inspire others. Together, we celebrate survivorship, resilience, & hope.

💙 Celebrating 20 Years of HPV Vaccine Protection 💙

This year marks 20 years of progress in the fight against HPV-related cancers. 's human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, Gardasil, was first approved by the FDA in 2006. Over the past 20 years, it has become a cornerstone of cancer prevention globally.

The HPV vaccine has helped protect millions of people from infections that can lead to cervical cancer and several other cancers. It is one of the most effective cancer prevention tools available today.

At GYN Cancers Alliance, we are grateful for two decades of innovation, education, and prevention that continue to save lives and create healthier futures for the next generation.

Whether you are newly diagnosed, in treatment, living with metastatic disease, in remission, or years beyond treatment, your journey matters. Every step forward is a testament to your determination and hope.

National Cancer Survivors Day is a time to celebrate victories big and small, recognize the challenges that remain, and remind one another that no woman has to face gynecologic cancer alone.
