🔥 Enya is bringing the spark!

Meet HHR Enya, a 5-year-old Miniature Schnauzer with 11 pounds of sass, s***k, and the best tippy tappies on the planet!

Enya came from a difficult hoarding situation where the world beyond her kennel was unfamiliar and scary. It took about 10 days for her to feel safe enough to venture out, but once she did, her curious side took over. Before long, she was sneaking up the doggy stairs to sleep with her foster grandpa and a fellow foster pup!

Her foster describes her as silly, energetic, goofy, and sweet, with a little bossiness mixed in. She loves being around other dogs and has plenty to say when someone walks by outside. After all, Schnauzers are excellent communicators!

🔥 A few things to know about Enya:

🐾 Friendly with other dogs and loves their company
🐾 Standoffish with adults at first, but warms up quickly
🐾 Children are untested, though older kids may be the best fit
🐾 Cats are untested
🐾 Making great progress with potty training
🐾 Full of love, energy, and personality

The outdoors is still a little overwhelming for Enya, and even walking on grass has been a new experience. She’s learning that life has so much more to offer, and she’ll need a patient family to help her navigate those new adventures.

Enya has already overcome so much. Now she’s ready to bring her little spark into a home where she can keep growing, exploring, and being her wonderfully goofy self.

A huge thank you to these amazing MSU students who took time out of their busy schedules to volunteer with us! ❤️

We know college life is busy, and it means so much that they chose to spend some of their free time giving back. They helped us bag dog food for our pet food pantry and, of course, made sure some of our pups got plenty of extra love and attention!

We are so grateful for young people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and make a difference in their community. Thank you for spending your time with us!

🔥 PHOENIX IS READY TO RISE 🔥

Phoenix has been through more than any little 8-pound dog should have to, but this sweet 6-year-old girl is showing us just how strong she really is.

She may be shy when you first meet her, but give Phoenix a little time, a little patience, and a safe person to call her own, and you’ll see her start to bloom. Once she bonds with you, she’s your tiny shadow. ❤️

Her perfect day? A cozy blanket, a comfy couch, her favorite person by her side, some cuddles and kisses, and a little Gordon Ramsay on TV. Honestly, Phoenix has the whole cozy-life thing figured out.

She does well with dogs and cats after warming up and thrives when she has a consistent routine. She’s also making great progress with potty training in her foster home.

Phoenix has already come so far. Now she just needs someone willing to give her the time and love she needs to keep discovering the confident little dog underneath that shy exterior.
