Illinois CRR joined the Illinois State Fire Marshal to staff the vendor booth at the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association - IFCA Conference in Peoria. It was great to reconnect with all the Illinois fire chiefs to promote CRR in our state!

Deer activity increases during the fall, especially around 𝐝𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐤. Please stay alert and reduce your speed in areas where deer may be present.

If your vehicle hits a deer, you can contact police or file your own crash report online using ISP’s Civilian Crash Reporting System. The crash must be a 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞‑𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲‑𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞‑𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 incident with no injuries, occurring on an Interstate, U.S., or Illinois Route.

🚨U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission RECALL ALERT🚨
This recall involves DR Power Equipment Pilot and Premier walk-behind trimmer mowers. The trimmer mowers are orange and black and have the DR Power logo on the top of the motor and on the top of the frame above the cutter head. The trimmer mowers are labeled “Premier” or “Pro” on the side of the frame. The model numbers are printed on a label located on the side of the product’s frame.

Recalled model numbers and product description, which include all serial numbers, are listed below.

Model Numbers: T4X1076DMN; T4X1076DMNR; T4X1076DMNSD; T4X1176DMN; T4X1176DMN-1; T4X1176DMNR; TR43076DMN; TR43076DMNR

Consumers should stop using the recalled trimmer mowers immediately and contact DR Power Equipment for a free repair kit. If consumers have concerns about installing the repair kit, contact DR Power Equipment to schedule a free repair installation from an authorized dealer.

🔋 CHARGE TOOLS & E-BIKES OUTSIDE — AWAY FROM YOUR HOME! 🔥

Lithium-ion batteries power everything from cordless tools and lawn equipment to e-bikes and e-scooters. But damaged, defective, or overheating batteries can cause fast-moving fires that are extremely difficult to control.

When possible, charge battery-powered tools, e-bikes, and similar equipment outside in a dry, protected area away from your home, garage, doors, windows, and anything that can burn.

🏠 Avoid charging large batteries inside your home or near an exit.
🌙 Don’t leave batteries charging unattended or overnight.
🔌 Unplug the charger when charging is complete.
