🦁 A HUGE THANK YOU FROM THE SPRING VALLEY LIONS CLUB! 💙💛
Because of the generosity of our amazing community, we’ve collected thousands of items to support the Lions of Illinois Foundation (LIF)!
Thanks to your donations, our volunteers were able to sort, count, and prepare the following items for recycling:
👓 1,256 pairs of plastic-frame eyeglasses
👓 1,632 pairs of wire-frame eyeglasses
🦻 20 hearing aids
🔑 20 keys
🖨️ 101 printer ink cartridges
📱 19 cell phones
👟 15 pairs of tennis shoes
That’s 2,888 pairs of eyeglasses and thousands of donated items making a difference!
Why does this matter?
The Lions of Illinois Foundation helps improve lives through programs supporting individuals who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, or hard of hearing. Its work includes:
💙 Providing free vision and hearing screenings to help identify potential problems early.
💙 Supporting vision and hearing assistance programs for individuals in need.
💙 Offering Camp Lions, where children and adults with vision or hearing impairments can enjoy recreational activities, build friendships, and gain independence.
💙 Recycling donated eyeglasses and other materials to support charitable programs and help extend the usefulness of donated resources.
