Class of '68!

CLASS OF 2026 INDUCTEE: John Bellino, St. Bede

● A 1968 SBA alum, was legendary baseball and football coach for Bruins for more than three decades

● In baseball, retired with a 625-346-3 record, 12 regional titles and two sectional titles in 34 seasons

● Led two teams to the state tournament (1988 & 1992); 1988 team won Class A state championship & is also in IV Sports HOF

● In football, his teams went 176-161 with 15 playoff appearances in 35 seasons, led 2001 team to semifinals

Every Tuesday and Thursday through May 28, we will announce a Class of 2026 inductee of Shaw Media’s Illinois Valley Sports Hall of Fame. The Class of 2026 Induction Ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 4 at The Auditorium Ballroom. in La Salle. Tickets can be bought at www.illinoisvalleysportshof.com.
