I've been putting off this announcement but as February is coming to an end I'm sure people are staring to wonder. In December I started a new MS medication that we are hopeful will stop or greatly slow any further brain atrophy this disease has caused. But with that it is a very strong medication also used in cancer treatment that will drop my immune system. Therefore Steve and I have made a very tough decision to not have our yearly fundraiser this year. We decided my health this year is not worth the risk and wanted to see how this medication will affect me. We will be doing more smaller scale fundraising and I will keep you all posted. We are still of course accepting applications for help and will hopefully have enough funding to carry us through till next year. Thank you all for always supporting our cause! 🧡

I keep seeing this and decided we would also like to offer these cooling shirts this year as well as the cooling vest. We are kicking off our 3rd year cooling vest drive. Mine was certainly a life saver this holiday weekend!! If you suffer with MS heat intolerence or know of anyone that does please reach out to us!!! Either by email [email protected] or call us 815-220-0983. We provide a high quality cooling vest and will ship it to your home at no cost to you. We do not require an application for this, our goal is to enable our local MS warriors a chancee to enjoy these summer days and not have to worry about the heat making your symtoms worse! Now that I've had a couple days to rest after Saturday. We want to thank everyone that made it out to support us this year! We filled the house for sure and made this the best year yet! To all the bands you did a fabulous job as always. All the volunteers who worked so hard you all made the event appear effortless! To the Knights of Columbus Calvert Council 792 this has been the 4th year with you guys and you have all become an extended family to us! The love and support you have all shown us through this is not forgotten! I'm gonna keep on doing this for as long as I can because our little charity we created has proven that it is needed and this never ever would have happened without the support of this community! 🧡🧡🧡
