Please take a moment to read Julie’s update. 💙
Doggy Dao & Cat's Meow is such a special local store, and I hope you’ll continue showing Julie and Margo your support. Julie truly cares about your pets and takes the time to help you find what’s right for them...especially if they have sensitive stomachs, allergies, or other special needs. She knows her products and, more than anything, she cares about the animals she serves.
Julie, thank you 🫶🏼 for always being there for us and for supporting 3 Husketeers Rescue. Your kindness means so much to me and to the dogs we rescue. Please join me in sending Julie lots of love and wishing her all the best with her health. 💙
We’re looking forward to being at the store on November 21 for our 5th Annual Photos With Santa 🎅🏽!
Please shop 🛍️ local and show this wonderful store some love!

Nothing like a picture of my two kids to grab your attention! 😉
I have an important update to tell you about, and this is going to be a long and personal post, but please stick with me. As most of you know, I was diagnosed with leukemia the week before Covid hit. The past 6 1/2 years I have been in what they call "watchful waiting". I have been monitored very closely and I have had to be very careful about being exposed to any type of virus or bacteria. Even though it was not a popular idea, I required all shoppers to wear a mask while in Doggy Dao & Cat's Meow. I can not tell you how much I appreciate the support of our loyal customers and your willingness to do so. However, there have been people that walk away and choose not to shop with us, despite the sign on the door stating my diagnosis.
Fast forward to 6 months ago. I asked Margo to join me at the store with the ultimate goal of having her take over the business. Let's face it, I'm not getting any younger and I knew, eventually, I would have to start treatment. Hiring Margo has been the best business decision I have ever made. I thank you for welcoming her with open arms. We are taking our time with the transition and I'm not going anywhere. I plan to continue working a couple of days a week even after she takes over.
I am dedicated to setting her up to succeed in anyway that I can and have decided to relax the mask requirements with the hope of gaining the customers who might otherwise walk away. We will take every precaution to protect me from getting sick and will continue to offer masks for those of you who wish to wear them. I do ask that if you are sick, please mask.
If you're still reading this, thank you for sticking with me. I wanted to explain my decision. Thank you for your understanding, and, as always, for your continued support.
