Pilot Club of Valley Forge - Pilot International We are a volunteer org. Our mission is to influence positive change in communities around the world. To do this we come together in friendship and service

We are a local club of Pilot International, a volunteer organization whose members work to improve the quality of life in their communities through friendship and service. Although we have varied projects that support children, the elderly and the disadvataged, our main focus is to help people with brain related disorders and disabilities through activities, education and financial assistance.

The Pilot Club of Valley Forge was honored to award two deserving senior students this month. Emily Dowdell, Early Childhood Care and Education program participant at the Chester County Technical College and High School received a check and the Outstanding Student Award. The ceremony was attended by Pilot Carol Lynch. Erin Bolger from Owen J. Roberts High School received a check and the Outstanding Anchor Student Award. Club President Bonnie Misko attended that ceremony.
Both young women were recognized for their academic, civic and leadership achievements.
The Pilot Club of Valley Forge, part of Pilot International Headquarters, is a volunteer service organization that seeks to influence positive change in communities. This includes advocating for leadership and service in young people.
We can't wait to see what awesome things these two young ladies will go on to achieve!

Memorial Day is a time for honoring those who gave their lives in service.
Through Wreaths Across America, we REMEMBER the fallen, HONOR those who serve, and TEACH future generations. You can help by sponsoring a live balsam wreath for a local veteran—each one a meaningful tribute placed with their name spoken aloud so they are never forgotten.
📍 Join us December 19, 2026 at 12 PM at Limerick Garden of Memories for National Wreaths Across America Day.
Your sponsorship also helps fund our service projects for veterans at the Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, PA.

Natanya Sortland is an honorary member of The Pilot Club of Valley Forge. She spoke at our 2025 Northeast Potomac District - Pilot International Convention, and our club is now partnering with her on her annual Caregiver Walk events. She LOVES Pilot and what we stand for.
Natanya experienced a stroke 12 years ago, and a year after that suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) which led to legal blindness.
She is once again participating in Vision Corps' "Eye Drop" rappelling event on June 5 to raise awareness and resources for the visually impaired in our communities. Click here to support Natanya's campaign! https://give.visioncorps.net/Natanya

As Memorial Day approaches, The Pilot Club of Valley Forge continues its series on honoring our veterans.
Our club participates in Wreaths Across America to support their mission to REMEMBER the fallen, HONOR those who serve, and TEACH future generations. For each wreath sponsored through our webpage, a live balsam wreath will be sent to Limerick Garden of Memories for the National Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday, December 19. Our club members will help place these wreaths and speak the name of the veteran out loud so they are never forgotten.
We are also part of WAA's "$5 Payback Program". We earmark the proceeds we receive to fund activities and events for veterans at the Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, PA throughout the year. In April we donated soft pretzels and distributed them at the SEVC during a Phillies Home Game. On May 5 we donated Rita's Water Ice so the veterans could celebrate Cinco de Mayo. We are planning for other water ice days throughout the summer so the residents can enjoy a treat in their outdoor cafe.

🐶 💙 ❤️The Pilot Club of Valley Forge had a "paws-itively" exciting road trip to present Tails of Valor Paws of Honor Program, Inc. with a donation check! 🐾
Our Pilot “pack” was thrilled to attend Tails’ “Sponsor Appreciation Night,” where members got a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility and learned all about the life-changing canine services and wellness programs TOV provides for veterans, law enforcement, and first responders living with PTSI or TBI.
Thanks to the "paw-some" support from our community, the Club donated $5,200 from the proceeds of our recent online auction fundraiser. These funds will help cover a new puppy recruit’s basic supplies and care costs. Even more exciting, it also gives The Pilot Club of Valley Forge the honor of sponsoring the name of a new pup as it begins its Journey With a Purpose—helping give a deserving hero a brighter, more independent future. 🐾
We’d like to give a big round of "a-paws" to ALLYConstructionServices for its generous contribution, along with everyone who participated in the Online Auction fundraiser. Because of you, we truly made a difference—"fur real"! 🐶 💙 ❤️

Our club has been busy at the Southeastern Veterans Center (SEVC) the past month. Pilot Carol Lynch and her Co-Pilot Tom delivered ice cream and accessories for the Center's "Sock Hop". Veterans were treated to ice cream sodas and live music from the '40's to the '60's. Band members and SEVC staff even encouraged a few dance moves from the Veterans!
Recently Carol represented the Pilot Club of Valley Forge which donated 20 pairs of headphones for residents' use. The donation was accepted by SEVC Volunteer & Donations Coordinator Tara Vaszily.
