👋 Meet Alyssa Lahoda, one of our Teaching Artists! Alyssa has been with Crescendo since January, and our kids absolutely love her. 💙

A Philadelphia-based violinist, Alyssa performs with orchestras across the region — including Berks Sinfonietta and Bucks County Symphony Orchestra — and has even toured North America with The World of Hans Zimmer. She studied Violin Performance and Music Theory at Lebanon Valley College, where her research on musician wellness and performance anxiety helped launch a whole new course at the school.

That background shows up in how she teaches: Alyssa believes every student learns differently, and she's focused on building not just technique, but confidence and a lifelong love of music. 🎻

🎓 Last May, we celebrated a group of 6th graders graduating from Crescendo's elementary program. Most of them had been with us for their entire elementary school career. We couldn't help but think about how far they've come from first notes to full, confident performances! 💙

That's what Crescendo is all about and it's what gets us excited about gearing up for the new school year again. We can't wait to watch this year's students grow the same way. 🎻
