There are moments that become more than an event… they become a movement.

Today, I’d like to personally invite you to join me on October 30, 2026, at The Mills House in Charleston, South Carolina, for the Affinity Patient Advocacy Great Gatsby Gala.

This evening is about far more than dressing up in Gatsby glamour. It’s about standing together for patients, caregivers, vulnerable families, and communities who need someone willing to advocate on their behalf.

As many of you know, Affinity Patient Advocacy is funded through the generosity of individuals, sponsors, and our fundraising efforts. Every ticket purchased, every sponsorship secured, and every silent auction donation helps us continue providing advocacy, education, and hope to those who often have nowhere else to turn.

Today I’m sharing the first reel from a special Humanitarian Horizons podcast where I talk about why this gala matters, the mission behind it, and the lives your support helps change. I hope you’ll take a moment to watch it and share it with your family, friends, colleagues, and anyone who believes in making a difference.

✨ Join us for an unforgettable evening.
✨ Become a sponsor.
✨ Donate a silent auction item.
✨ Help us continue changing lives.

I truly hope to welcome you personally on October 30th.

🎟️ Learn more, purchase tickets, become a sponsor, or donate a silent auction item:

💜 Elder Abuse Awareness: Protecting Our Seniors Starts With Us 💜

Every older adult deserves to live with dignity, respect, and safety.

Elder abuse can take many forms, including physical, emotional, financial, and psychological abuse, as well as neglect. Unfortunately, millions of older adults experience abuse each year—often at the hands of someone they know and trust.

By recognizing the warning signs and speaking up when something doesn’t seem right, we can help protect vulnerable seniors and ensure they receive the care, respect, and support they deserve.

✅ Listen and believe older adults when they share concerns.
✅ Check in regularly with elderly family members, friends, and neighbors.
✅ Report suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities.

Together, we can create communities where every senior feels safe, valued, and heard.

Your mental health matters. 💚

No one should have to face anxiety, stress, depression, or emotional challenges alone. At Affinity Patient Advocacy, we believe compassionate support and access to the right resources can make all the difference.

We listen.
We advocate.
We empower.

Healing is not linear, and asking for help is a sign of strength.

You deserve support. You deserve hope. You deserve to be heard.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, let’s remember that mental health matters every single day. 💚

Taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body. Whether it’s checking in with yourself, reaching out to a loved one, taking a break, or asking for help — every step toward wellness matters.

At Affinity Patient Advocacy, we believe in supporting the whole person with compassion, understanding, and care. Let’s continue the conversation beyond May and keep showing up for one another.

✨ You are not alone.
✨ You are valued.
✨ You matter.

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

As we remember their courage and service, we also recognize the importance of supporting the mental health of veterans, military families, and all those carrying invisible burdens. Healing, hope, and connection matter. 💚

If you or someone you know is struggling, you are not alone. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength.

Today, we remember. We honor. We support mental wellness for all.

🌿 No patient or elder should ever feel alone, unheard, or unprotected.

For years, Affinity Patient Advocacy has proudly helped hundreds of patients, families, and elders navigate some of life’s most difficult healthcare and life challenges — always free of charge.

Today, our mission has expanded even further to support and advocate for elders facing abuse, neglect, exploitation, and mistreatment. We believe every senior deserves dignity, safety, compassion, and a trusted advocate by their side.

From helping patients understand complex diagnoses and clinical studies to standing up for vulnerable elders who need protection and support, we are committed to being a voice for those who often feel powerless and alone.

Because we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely entirely on the generosity of compassionate donors to continue this critical work.

💚 Your donation helps us:
• Advocate for patients and families in crisis
• Support elders experiencing abuse or neglect
• Provide education, guidance, and resources
• Help caregivers and vulnerable individuals navigate healthcare systems
• Continue offering services completely free of charge

Every dollar makes a difference. Every act of kindness gives someone hope.

Elder abuse is one of the most underreported human rights crises happening today — and too often, it hides behind closed doors, silence, fear, dependence, and shame.

It is not always visible.
It is not always physical.
And it is never acceptable.

Millions of older adults experience emotional abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, medical manipulation, abandonment, or intimidation from the very people entrusted with their care. Many suffer in silence because they fear retaliation, losing support, or simply not being believed.

We must do better.

As advocates, healthcare professionals, caregivers, families, and communities, we have a responsibility to protect the dignity, safety, autonomy, and voices of our elders.

Awareness is not enough — action matters.

✔️ Learn the warning signs
✔️ Listen without judgment
✔️ Report suspected abuse
✔️ Support vulnerable seniors
✔️ Advocate for stronger protections and accountability

A society is judged by how it treats its most vulnerable populations. Our elders deserve respect, compassion, protection, and care — not silence.

If you suspect elder abuse, speak up. One conversation could save a life.

Many people have heard of PMS, but far fewer understand PMDD — Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder — a serious and often misunderstood mental health condition that affects millions worldwide.

PMDD is more than mood swings. It can cause severe anxiety, depression, irritability, fatigue, and emotional distress that significantly interfere with daily life, relationships, and work.

The good news? PMDD is real, recognized, and treatable.

Awareness matters because too many individuals suffer in silence or are misdiagnosed for years before receiving proper support.

At Affinity, we believe education, compassion, and early intervention can change lives.

If you or someone you know struggles with intense emotional or physical symptoms related to the menstrual cycle, know this:💜 You are not alone.💜 Your symptoms are valid.💜 Help is available.

Let’s continue breaking the stigma surrounding women’s mental health and create spaces where healing conversations can happen openly.
