If you missed coming to the Spooner Library Renaissance Faire at Railroad Park today, you missed a good time. 
There were artists, storytellers, knights in armor, fairies, and many more costumed folk. You could enjoy a bouncy house, get your face painted, enter an art contest, find the perfect treasure from one of our many awesome vendors, eat some delicious food from our food truck vendors, get your fortune told, watch a real sword fight, or learn how to juggle. We even had a pickle vendor.
There were 385 people who were vendors or signed up for a door prize but even more people actually attended and just came in and enjoyed the faire. Just imagine if it hadn’t been raining for half of it. 
Stay tuned because we’ve got ideas for next year.

Our friends at Northwind Book & Fiber are hosting Wisconsin Public Radio's Chapter A Day Book Club on September 8th! We ordered copies of "Away to Me" and will have them at the front desk if you'd like to check a copy out with your library card.
