Do you love storytelling, community connections, and showcasing everything that makes a destination special?
Washburn County Tourism Association is looking for a Marketing Director to help promote our incredible region and support local tourism businesses.
✨What you’ll do:
-Lead marketing campaigns & social media
-Promote events and attractions
-Work with local businesses and partners
-Help shape the visitor experience in Washburn County
-Fundraising and other outreach efforts
📍 Based in office - Spooner, WI - Serving all of Washburn County

From welcoming downtown experiences and local businesses to outdoor adventures and community events, the things that make Spooner a great place to visit start with the people who call it home.

In Washburn County, tourism generates $57 million in visitor spending and supports nearly 500 local jobs, from lodging and dining to events and outdoor recreation.

That means every stay, every meal, and every experience helps support local businesses, strengthen our communities, and keep Washburn County thriving.

It’s more than just a visit. It’s what helps keep our communities vibrant all year long. 💙

Is it the unforgettable events, the must-visit attractions, the local restaurants and shops, or the people behind them? For many of us, it’s all of the above.

Last night, we proudly celebrated the very best of Washburn County by hosting the 2026 Best of WashCo Awards at The Station Bar & Grill 🏆🎉 What an amazing evening recognizing the local businesses and organizations that help make WashCo truly special.
