SHS choir students attended All State camp at Spirit Lake High School today. 🎶
Over the course of three camps throughout August, students have been working hard to learn difficult music and will continue preparing for All State auditions in October.

The workshop will cover songwriting, recording, sound, and music as a business; you’ll go through sound check and get to perform with the band! 🎸The Classic Rock Experience! 🎸

The Iowa Rock N Roll Music Association and SCT Playhouse - Spencer, IA are teaming up for a unique youth music workshop and live community concert on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Led by Iowa Rock ’n Roll Hall of Fame inductee Kirk “Skinny” Webb, students will explore songwriting, production, sound, and the music business through hands-on workshops and Q&A sessions with professional musicians, then perform in the evening concert event.

📍 Spencer Community Theatre
🗓 Saturday, July 18, 2026
⏰ Workshops: 10:00 AM–4:30 PM
🎶 Concert & Show: 7:00 PM–9:45 PM

✅ Open to ages 12-18
✅️ Must live in Clay County
✅ Limited to 10 participants
✅ Lunch & dinner included
✅ No cost to participate

A $25 deposit is required to reserve your spot and will be refunded at the event. Spots are limited and expected to fill quickly.
