2024 was a great year of giving for the Clay County Community Foundation!
Clay County, Iowa – The Clay County Community Foundation (CCCF) is pleased to share its 2024 Year-End Report, highlighting its commitment to improving the quality of life for residents of Clay County through grantmaking, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. With a focus on building a brighter future for all, the Foundation’s impact has been felt across a wide range of sectors, from education and health to arts, culture, and local infrastructure.
2024 Impact in Numbers:

$458,000 in Grants Awarded: In 2024, CCCF distributed $458,000 in grants to local nonprofits and community projects.
●
50 Community Projects Supported: The Foundation proudly supported 50 local projects, focused on supporting education, social services, the arts, health initiatives, community betterment, disaster recovery, elderly services, mental health services and more.
●
Hundreds of Volunteers Mobilized: Through its volunteer-driven initiatives, CCCF worked with hundreds of volunteers to advance our mission, from assisting at local events to providing administrative support to grantees.
Notable 2024 Highlights:

2024 Community Betterment Grants: In March of 2024, $118,000 was granted to 20 community nonprofit organizations to support projects to enhance the quality of life for all in Clay County.

Disaster Recovery Fund: Through the Disaster Recovery Fund, CCCF successfully raised more than $550,000 thanks to the generosity of more than 320 donors. These funds were directly distributed to local initiatives aimed at supporting disaster recovery efforts throughout the county.

Disaster Recovery Fund Grants: Grants totaling more than $340,000 were disbursed to 30 projects in the community since June 2024.
●
Building Relationships with Community: The Clay County Community Foundation continued its collaboration with local government, business leaders, and other nonprofit organizations to address critical community challenges, such as affordable housing, mental health services, and disaster recovery.
A Year of Challenge and Resolve 2024 challenged the residents of Clay County and its communities, proving our resilience as individuals and organizations who worked together to adapt, overcome and recover from the flood. The tireless efforts of community partners, empowered local leaders and county organizations led to meaningful, positive change — setting us on a bright path toward the future.

Looking Ahead to 2025 As we look to 2025, CCCF is excited to continue its work in the community. The 2025 Community Betterment Grant season is open now through January 15, 2025. Disaster Recovery Grants continue to be disbursed to assist with long term flood recovery.
