Cultivating the Future of Children Worldwide Our current project is in Jacmel, Haiti.

We are rebuilding LaConcorde Orphanage after it was destroyed in the 2010 earthquake. Phase two of the project in Jacmel includes raising additional funds to build two classroom buildings, a medical/dental facility, and an administration building with a computer lab.

As we celebrate the end of another incredible school year at La Concorde, we are reminded that education is one of life's greatest gifts. It inspires curiosity, unlocks potential, and prepares our students for a bright future.

Today, we celebrate the achievements, growth, and hard work of our students, as well as the dedication of our teachers, staff, and families who support them every day.

Champions! 🏆 The La Concorde Girls Soccer Team is bringing home the Girls School Championship! This is a huge success for the girls and the school. We are incredibly proud of every player, coach, and supporter who made this achievement possible. A special thank you to our donors as well who provided their uniforms.

Earlier this month, our incredible board members gathered in Minneapolis for a meaningful time of strategic planning, reflection, and connection. Together, we recentered on our mission and vision while reaffirming our shared commitment to deepening our impact for the children and young adults of Jacmel.

The weekend also included an opportunity to serve side by side at Feed My Starving Children, where the team completed a food pack together in support of children around the world.

We closed out the weekend with an unforgettable Hats Off for Haiti Derby Party, generously hosted by board member Becca Stockdale. We are so grateful for the passion, leadership, and heart our board brings to this work every day.

This month we are proud to spotlight our amazing bookkeeper, Dianne! ✨

As a new great grandmother, Dianne enjoys spending time with her 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and newest great grandchild. In her retirement, she enjoys reading and fishing and donating her time and talents to organizations like LOVE Takes Root. Reflecting on her trip to La Concorde in Haiti, she says, “It enlarged my world and my heart.”

Our newest chicks have arrived and are being carefully raised as part of our growing poultry business in Haiti. Each one represents opportunity, sustainability, and progress for our community as they are sold upon mature size.

Life in Haiti looks different, but there is still opportunity. 🌱
