More fun supporting the"Kids in the Kitchen" cooking classes at the Spencer Family YMCA!

Leland Chalstrom, our 2026 Mr. Porker, helped lead the BLT Boats recipe and even had a turn learning to fry bacon beforehand under the guidance of his mother and board member, Julie Chalstrom!

Kate Elser, our 2026 Youth Ambassador, also led a class where they made breakfast kabobs. The kids were happy to have her and board member, Colette Elser, to help assemble the skewers!

What a great reminder of the importance of sharing the pork industry with our local youth.

The Porath Family did not disappoint at this year's Clay County Pork Producers Pork Cook Off! We had a whole table full of their entries! Ryan Porath brought his homemade cheesy brat bits, while Sophia Porath served their homemade pork shots made with Sausage, cream cheese, jalapeno, wrapped in bacon, of course!

In addition to announcing, Ally Williams brought Gochujang & Beer Pork Candy. The sauce that coated the pork in this recipe was made from Korean Chili paste and a Bearded Dog Taproom home-brewed IPA!

Way to go, Porath Family!
