Presbyterian Villages of Michigan (PVM) is proud to announce that Tyler Luce, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been selected as a Fellow in the 2027 Larry Minnix LeadingAge Leadership Academy, a nationally recognized leadership development program for professionals in aging services.

From February through November 2027, Luce will take part in a year of leadership study, coaching, and peer learning alongside fellow leaders from LeadingAge member organizations nationwide.

“I am honored to be selected for the LeadingAge Leadership Academy and grateful to Presbyterian Villages of Michigan for supporting my growth. I look forward to learning alongside leaders from across the country and bringing new ideas and perspectives back to PVM to benefit our residents, our team members and the communities we serve,” said Luce.

We were honored to welcome Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield to The Village of Brush Park Manor yesterday. She brought along a very special guest, her grandmother and namesake, Mary, whose remarks were nothing short of phenomenal. Hearing her speak was a powerful reminder of the wisdom, strength and spirit older adults bring to our city every day.

🍂 Oktoberfest fun at The Village of East Harbor! Residents enjoyed celebrating the season with festive fall fun, good company and plenty of smiles. We love seeing our villages create meaningful moments and wonderful memories for residents to enjoy! 💙

A Detroit campus with an important place in Black educational history has a new purpose.

The former Lewis College of Business campus has been transformed into Dr. Violet T. Lewis Village, providing 105 affordable apartments for income-qualified Detroiters age 55 and older. The development preserves two historic buildings while adding a new four-story residential building.

Founded by Dr. Violet T. Lewis in 1928, the college created educational opportunities for Black students excluded by segregation and later became Michigan’s only historically Black college.

Developed by Wallick Communities and Presbyterian Villages of Michigan, the new community carries that legacy forward through affordable housing, gathering spaces, a library and computer room, and wellness amenities for seniors.

After sitting vacant for more than a decade, this significant piece of Detroit history is serving the community once again.
