A huge thank you to Steve Massie for being a member of our board for the past several years. Steve not only served as a board member, but he has also been instrumental in the mentoring program and Kids Connect. During the school year, he can be found at the elementary school every week, making a huge difference in the life of a young student. In the summertime, Steve is the fun guy and kid magnet that plans games and lots of physical activities for the children who attend our lunches. He has not only made a huge impact in our small nonprofit, but in their church and beyond. There is no way to measure how far out his love, service and attention to others has reached. Thank you, Steve, for your commitment and giving heart. God bless you and your beautiful family. 🙏

Thank you to the Double Dozen Homemakers. Not only did they sponsor the meal financially, but they also did the prepping and preparing of the delicious meal for our seniors today. Bless each one of you for your hard work and support.

Thank you to all who came out to support our Apple Pie Fundraiser!!
It was a beautiful day filled with fun!
Great seeing old faces and a lot of new ones. We even had some treasured seniors volunteer for a shift. Bless each one who made this day happen. 🍎

Look for the One Community booth at the festival. Today 11-5 we are offering apple pie with ice cream for $5. Looking forward to seeing you there!!

This Saturday loved ones will say goodbye to Buford Baker, a loyal friend who made a huge difference during his lifetime. Buford was an original board member when OC was formed in 2014. He also served as a mentor at SWES for many years, which was one of his favorite ways to give back. We will always remember him for his kindness to others, his one of kind laugh and all that made him special to each one of us. When visiting him at Timbercrest he would say, “I really miss the kids.”
Our deepest sympathy to his family at this sad time. The world was a better place because of Buford’s huge heart and all he did for others. May he rest in the peace of Christ. Buford, you will be missed. 🙏🙏🙏
