South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce The South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting local businesses and building a strong community.

Backed by its members, it provides resources, advocacy, and connections to help businesses thrive and make the city shine. The South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit corporation solely supported by its membership, and activities that it sponsors. Members include business owners, managers and professionals. Members invest in the organization to support group efforts to make South

San Francisco a better place to do business. The Chamber is governed by a 15-member Board of Directors and holds monthly meetings to set policy and direction for the organization. A Chief Executive Officer oversees office operation which includes full-time and part-time staff. The Chamber makes referrals, acts as a resource for community information, provides informational pamphlets and brochures about starting a business, offers free SCORE (Service Corp of Retired Executives) counseling to business entrepreneurs and has marketing material available to help the sales professionals. A monthly newsletter, Business In Brief, keeps you informed about business news, community development, and Chamber activities. Once you join, your name, company, address, and phone number are listed in the “New Members” section of the newsletter. Renewing members are listed once a year with their name and the year they joined. We’ll also list you on the Chamber website and in the Chamber Business Directory. Contacts

There are numerous chances to network with government officials, other Chamber members, and the business community at monthly mixers and at Chamber functions. Small Business Counseling

Receive small business counseling from the Service Corp of Retired Executives (SCORE)

Chamber Committees

Involve yourself in one of the Chamber committees: Ambassadors, Education, Economic Development/Transportation, and Legislative. Credit Unions

What do you get when you combine Chick-fil-A Serramonte, a room full of South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, a walk down Grand Avenue, and a lot of community spirit?

A pretty great afternoon!

Thank you to Chick-fil-A for keeping us fueled and to Jcesar Dominguez and the team at ProColor Collision USA for hosting us. We also appreciate Ernesto Lucero and Devin Steinhouse from the The City of South San Francisco – Government for getting us up to speed on all things 4th of July.

Then it was time to hit the streets! Our ambassadors and board members visited businesses along Grand Avenue, talked about the upcoming parade and festivities, and encouraged merchants to join the fun with games, treats, and activities for attendees.

Are you ready for the 4th of July? Join us in front of City Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for live music, a car show, parade, children’s zone, free hot dogs, and a celebration of our country’s quincentennial. It’s going to be a great day of family fun and community spirit.

Great evening at AC Hotels by Marriott San Francisco Airport/Oyster Point Waterfront

Thank you to Reggie Kumar and his team for hosting our Chamber Board meeting and treating us to wonderful food, drinks, and a beautiful waterfront setting.

We also recognized three departing board members. A special thank you to Kevin Worth for nine years of service and leadership, and to Kamal Hyder and Roger Rodriguez for their contributions during their board terms. We are grateful for all they have done for the Chamber and our community.

Guests enjoyed a passport-style culinary experience featuring tastings from six different restaurants, each offering something unique and delicious. Combined with the beautiful atmosphere and welcoming staff, it made for a fantastic celebration.

Genentech took the record back! 🧬

The previous Guinness World Record for the largest human DNA helix was set in 2016 in Varna, Bulgaria with 4,000 participants. Today, the official count came in at an incredible 4,804 participants!

What an amazing day filled with energy, teamwork, and community spirit. Huge thanks to the organizers, volunteers, participants, and the enthusiastic crowd that made it happen. Special shoutout to St. John for bringing the hype and keeping the excitement going all day long.

Today we gathered with a full congregation at St. Veronica Catholic Church to honor and remember Betty Battaglia, a deeply respected longtime South San Francisco resident, volunteer, commissioner, and civic leader.

Betty devoted countless years to serving our community with grace, compassion, and dedication. In 2024, she was recognized during Women’s History Month for the lasting and positive impact she made on South San Francisco through her leadership and service.

May she rest in peace. Her legacy will continue to live on in the community she loved so dearly.

Such a fun evening at The San Francisco Peninsula mixer at Edgewater Marine in Foster City!

Perfect weather, great conversations, and lots of new connections made the night extra special. The electric Duffy ride through the Foster City lagoons was definitely a highlight. Nothing better than networking on the water with beautiful views and good company.
