Minnetonka Child Nutrition Food Service workers have officially voted to ratify their new contract!

One of the biggest highlights of this agreement is the addition of employer-paid single dental insurance, a significant benefit that will help support members and their families.

This victory reflects the power of workers coming together and advocating for a stronger contract. Congratulations to the bargaining team and all members who made their voices heard throughout the process!

Shout out to our Richfield paraeducators and outreach workers who just finished merging and negotiating their contracts as we kick off the school year!

When we merge our contracts, we bring more workers together, strengthen our collective voice, and build the power we need to win better wages, stronger protections, and better working conditions.

We also won:
-Bereavement leave
-$300 a month district contribution increase to family insurance
-Another $250 a year to their VEBA health insurance accounts.

All these victories show what happens when we come together to build worker power!

BREAKING:
Our Allina Hospice nurses have filed a ten-day notice to conduct a seven-day unfair labor practice (ULP) strike beginning September 11 and continuing through September 17, 2026, after more than a year of contract negotiations failed to produce meaningful progress on key workers concerns at Allina Health.

The nurses will picket outside Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis each day from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a daily rally at 12:00 p.m.
