15 Years of Firsts: First Best Friends 🩷💫

When these two girls shared their first stay together at A Rosie Place for Children, they connected right away.

They came back for another sleepover, and their friendship only grew stronger. The weekend was filled with art projects, music, laughter, and time spent together. They were inseparable.

For many families of children with medical complexities, seeing their child find a true friend is something they never imagined possible. Finding someone who understands their experiences, shares their interests, and simply enjoys being a kid alongside them can mean the world.

For 15 years, A Rosie Place has created opportunities for firsts that many families once thought were out of reach, including first best friends.

Together, we're building a world of YES and a world of FIRSTS, where more children can experience friendship, belonging, and the moments that make childhood magical.

Play-Doh + A Rosie Place for Children

We're so thankful for Hands of Hope, a nonprofit that sends Play-Doh to hospitals in all 50 states. This thoughtful gift brought smiles to everyone at A Rosie Place 🤩

For our children, Play-Doh means colorful creations, imaginative play, and opportunities to strengthen fine motor skills.

For our nurses, it means something else entirely: the irresistible joy of popping open a fresh container and being transported right back to childhood. 😊

For many families of medically fragile children, a first sleepover isn't something they take for granted. It's a milestone built on trust, courage, and hope.

At A Rosie Place for Children, we've had the privilege of hosting hundreds of first sleepovers for medically fragile children!

While parents take a deep breath and trust us with this milestone, something incredible happens here: children simply get to be children.

They leave limitations at the door and step into a place where possibilities take center stage.
