Learn how to use a 3D printer!

Whether you have a 3D printer or are looking to get one, you're probably interested in how to use them. Across three 1-hour sessions, we will cover:

3D Printer Basics
Maintenance
Troubleshooting
Designing Models
Printing
This program is open to all ages, however children in 8th grade or under should be accompanied by an adult.

The registration fee includes all 3 sessions, as well as 100 grams of 3D printing credit at Lake Michigan STEAMWORKS.

If you had previously tried to enroll for our December class, a software error in our sign-up website prevented that from working. Please consider signing up for February's class!

Gear up for the new Lego League program at the library! Starts tomorrow

We're so excited about this! Kids in fourth and fifth grade are invited to join our FIRST Lego League team, which starts meeting NEXT WEEK!

LEGO LEAGUE AT THE LIBRARY
Wednesdays from 5:00–6:30pm, October 8 through November 19
and SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22 Competition

Join our FIRST Lego League team! This team for 4th and 5th grade students will meet once a week to prepare for the FIRST Lego League competition on Saturday, November 22 at Lakeshore High School in Stevensville, MI. SPACE IS LIMITED. Call the library at 269.695.3681 to register. Regular attendance at meetings is required to be part of the competition.

This team is a collaboration between parent coaches, Lake Michigan Steamworks, and the Buchanan District Library.

Hello Everyone,
Nani here...
Just keeping you posted on fun happenings at STEAMWORKS this week!!!

We'll be incorporating the scariest, floatiest flying and crawling bugs into scary or whimsical pop-ups.

Creepy Crawly BUGS, Floaty Flying BUGS...In this class, students will learn paper engineering techniques to make those bugs come alive and fly, crawl or hop off of the page.

Class is from 10am-NOON, at Lake Michigan STEAMWORKS, 606 Carrol Street.
