In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal WNBA Star Aliyah Boston (Aliyah A. Boston) shared an encouraging perspective on her mindset around money.

Aliyah is 24 years old and recently signed one of the largest contracts in WNBA history. She’s now making more than $1 million a year, which is a massive jump from the roughly $80,000 she made during her first few seasons.

She still drives the same Buick she bought when she entered the league.

In a sports culture where we often assume athletes are chasing bigger lifestyles, it was refreshing to hear a young star talk so openly about building a future instead.
