Come visit us at Franklin National Night Out!!

Franklin's World Series Journey Ends with Pride.

Franklin 1618's remarkable run came to an end today with a 14-4 loss against a talented and skilled Branson team.

Franklin came out ready to fight, striking first in the opening inning when Eli Zavatsky delivered an RBI single. The boys continued to compete throughout the game, collecting nine hits against a tough opponent that proved difficult to slow down.

Elijah John, Eli Zavatsky, and AJ Estevez each recorded two hits for Franklin, while Zavatsky, Stanley Madera, and Shayne Rooney drove in runs. Dylan Shah started on the mound, and Aveer Mouron battled through three and one-third innings in relief. Elijah Zavatsky was awarded player of the game for Franklin.

The final score, however, tells only a small part of the story.

For many of Franklin’s high school seniors, this was the final game of their youth baseball journey—the last time they would wear the Franklin uniform, take the field together, and represent the town that supported them along the way for years.

They may not have received the ending they hoped for, but they finished their journey on one of youth baseball’s biggest stages - World Series. Through every win, loss, long trip, practice, and pressure-filled moment, these young men competed with heart and represented Franklin with pride.

Their season is over, but the friendships, memories, and lessons created through baseball will remain long after the final out.

Franklin 1618 boys, you made your families, coaches, teammates, and entire town incredibly proud. Hold your heads high. What a journey—and what a team.

OSTROM’S GEM AND ZAVATSKY’S WALK-OFF SEND FRANKLIN TO THE PLAYOFFS

With the World Series on the line and no room for error, Franklin delivered when it mattered most. Chris Ostrom was nearly untouchable, firing a complete-game, one-hit shutout to keep Puerto Rico off the scoreboard for 7 pressure-filled innings. Ostrom allowed just two walks, and struck out two.

The defense was flawless behind him, committing no errors in a tense pitcher’s duel that remained scoreless heading into the bottom of the 7th.
Then came the moment Franklin had been waiting for. With the team’s back against the wall, Eli Zavatsky delivered a walk-off single to bring home the winning run and set off the celebration as Franklin earned a dramatic 1-0 victory—and a spot in bracket play.

Franklin collected 5 hits in the win, with Zavatsky, Stanley Madera, AJ Estevez, Patrick Ziegler and Ostrom each contributing.

Chris Ostrom was awarded player of the game!.

Franklin jumped out to an early lead today vs Missouri Bulls, but ultimately fell 12-6. Franklin is now 1-1 in the group D.

Eli Zavatsky and Shayne Rooney led the offense with two hits each. Zavatsky, Stanley Madera, AJ Estevez, Rooney, and Kelvin Heuston each drove in a run, while Dylan Shah added two stolen bases. Shayne Rooney was awarded the 'Player of the game' for Franklin.

Franklin played error-free defense, but issued 9 walks, which the Bulls capitalized fully to win their first game in this World Series.

Franklin takes on Chinese Taipei tomorrow at 12pm central.
